CHAPTER TWENTY-THREE

One look from Logan stuck a cord in her and she could feel it deeper in her soul, it was a look that seemed daring to make it difficult for her to think clearly about the moment, she watched it burn too, and somewhere in her mind, she wished to herself that she had not overreacted.

Logan was still kneeling when they all walked past him, he could feel that bit of anger rousing deep in his soul but what more could he do about it?

It felt that he was succumbing to fate, perhaps it was all fate's wish for him to feel such humiliation.

“I am sorry." She muttered-

“Don't." He didn't look at her but she could feel that scornful look from him, making her not only panic but have that belief that whatever it was that could between them it was definitely over— there was no Hope for the nearest future, just Hate!

He listened as she left without saying anything else, it was not out of the ordinary to believe what was being said, she could as well have meant it but thinking of how much she felt hur
