22. No Longer A Slave

First thing in the morning, someone rang the doorbell of the Crowne residence.

Marissa wouldn't have heard it if she was in her bedroom, buried under the blanket and snoring loudly like her own husband. Sadly, the strange things that kept happening with her useless son-in-law had kept her awake since three in the morning. She was just drinking water in the kitchen when she heard the bell.

However, instead of walking to the living room to open the door, she stomped her feet further inside. The direction was clear. She knocked on the scum's bedroom door and called in a loud voice, "Wake up, you useless son-in-law!"
