Alex saw the light flicked on when he returned and knew that something was wrong. Brielle never slept with the lights on. That meant that she had visitors over.

He knocked on the door slowly and Amelia opened it. His face contorted into anger immediately. Why would she allow this stranger into his house? What was more annoying was the fact that she probably didn't think it would annoy him so he took a deep breath.

"What are you doing here?" He inquired.

Amelia, who was not expecting that question, tilted her head backward. "I came to visit my cousin who just escaped from the clutches of some kidnapper. I heard that you..."

"Take your bag and get out of my house."

Alex relished the look of horror that settled on her face at his command. She stared at him again, hoping to hear that it was an error. " What did you say?"

"Exactly what I said. Take your bag and leave my house. I don't want visitors."
