Chapter 66

To say that Brielle was embarrassed was an understatement because her face suddenly became like a tomato farm and she grimaced. Seeing the hassle that she was going through, Alex removed her hand from her mother's grip and dragged her toward the door.

"We have other important things to do." He said and pulled her out of the door.

Brielle's face was sour as they walked to the car. "I'm sorry." She apologized. It was the only thing she could do to appease him. It was her fault that he was receiving these insults. If she had stayed away from her family these wouldn't happen.

"It's fine."

Brielle was discomfited because she knew that although he wasn't speaking, he was probably very angry and she didn't want that. It was a pity that her mother didn't care about her well-being and how her home would be. "My family sure makes a big deal in getting you riled up whenever they get the chance and I don't even have what to say to you right now. I'm sorry about everything."
