Chapter 128: Impatient

The man was startled by the force with which the door flung open. "Who is it?" He staggered back.

"Fred?" Derek had rushed in immediately to grab the intruder's collar.

"It's me, Derek. I was just trying to adjust Annabelle's bed covers."

"Well, I didn't see your face, so I thought it was someone else." Derek frowned at his new outfit.

Fred sighed. "I was about to leave, heading towards a high school reunion that's why I got changed."

"Ohh. Alright." Derek nodded, relief washing through him. His heart had stopped the moment he stepped in to see an unfamiliar figure earlier.

Fred left almost immediately

After confirming that everything was okay with his mother and his sister, Derek left as well.

LaVida Hospitals was one of the most secure hospitals in the entire country.

Without a secret passcode known by a very few select people- the patient's doctor and a few family members, no one accessed the wards.

This was the reason why Fred was able to keep his mother's location a secret
