"Are you implying I was the one that let Cynthia get away?" Stephen was shocked.

"Just do as I say, not question me." Morris got up from the chair, making his way out. "I'll have someone run a detailed background check on Herbert and Albert. There should be something we can use against them."

He was already at the door when Stephen quickly called out. "Wait..."

"What is it?"

"When are we going to meet and I can see your face?"

Morris twirled to face him, his lips raised in a disdainful smile. "You really want to see my face? Meet me tonight at the Velvet Bars in the City Square."

With that, he turned around and left.

Stephen's heart fluttered in excitement. He was going to see Morris' face tonight!

This was what he had dreamed of in a long time!

He quickly called his driver and returned to his mansion.

Stephen called his right-hand man, Felix. "I want you to dispatch someone to follow Sophia Hanks. I want to have full details of her daily routine, all her movements, her favorite

Joe checked the message from Benson one last time. The Boss' instructions were explicit- gather as much information as you can about Stephen. He quickly deleted the message as Philip walked out of Stephen's room, a trail of blood on his forehead. He walked past them in a daze, hurrying to place a call to Felix. Joe was among the men who escorted Stephen to the Velvet Bars earlier. This was the first time he was able to follow Stephen outdoors since he was sent here as a spy. Stationed as a guard near the door, he had tried to listen and eavesdrop on the conversation at the meeting. But he couldn't hear anything. He wasn't even able to discover who Stephen met with. He only saw Stephen storming out of the room 3 hours later, a furious expression on his face. Joe gritted his teeth in frustration. He had been unable to meet Benson last night as planned cause of some unexpected issues. And till now, he hadn't been able to discover anything tangible."What do I do?" His eyes flitted u

"You mean Stephen intends to hurt Sophia?" Derek got up with a start. "Why would he do that?""I have no idea, Boss. I think someone is coming. Gotta go!"The line suddenly went off, and the phone clanged against the table. Stephen was the man he least suspected among the Elders. Why would he try to hurt Sophia and betray him? Joe had said Stephen wanted to use Sophia as a trump card against someone. Who could that be? Did he perhaps have some grudges against her father, Fred? Or even Sophia herself? "What're we going to do now, Boss? It seems like Miss Sophia is going to be dragged into this mess!"Derek didn't need to tell twice. He quickly grabbed his keys and wallet from the shelf. "Book a flight to Nevada right away. I'll have to convince her to leave this city."Benson nodded. Derek got into his limited-edition Porsche and drove straight to Sophia's apartment. It was already past 7 pm he was sure she would be back from meeting her friends. Sophia stayed in a quiet distric

Derek sat up when a knock sounded on the door. He got up and straightened his collar.Dominic was here already. "Boss." Benson peeked in. "Herbert just arrived with his guest.""Alright." Derek made his way out, following behind Benson down the stairs. Herbert was already seated on the couch, with a tall, muscular man. His small eyes flashed when he saw Derek, a smile on his face. "Boss." Herbert got up to pay his respects. Derek nodded slightly, then faced the newcomer. "To what do I owe this pleasant surprise?" He stretched his arm for a handshake. "Dominic Montiers." The man shook him firmly. "I'm honored to meet the latest Peter-Pan in charge of these areas."Herbert jumped in with a smile. "Boss, this is the friend I wanted you to meet. Dominic arrived yesterday and couldn't wait to meet you. You must know he's a very popular person in Italy.""Of course, who doesn't know the all-powerful Mafia Lord in Italy, Dominic." Derek laughed nervously. "Could we continue this convers

"What are the terms of being an ambassador for Aircastle?" Dominic relaxed back with a smile. "You see, I don't do anything for free." "Of course!" Derek beamed, ecstatic that the man even considered his offer. He quickly retrieved a file from his drawer and passed it over. Dominic nodded as he flipped through. "Nice compensations. I have a condition though.""And what could that be?""You must publish the article on every news outlet, both online and offline. I want Morris to see it, and realize that I am back for revenge!""Oh, that's fine." Derek nodded. "Here's the contract document. Please go through it with your lawyer as soon as possible.""I'm a lawyer myself, you didn't know that?" Dominic laughed. "It would take an hour to evaluate this, till then set up a press conference. We're putting it out today!"Derek was quite stunned. He was still expecting the man to take a while to think it further. "Amazing! I love how fast this meeting has progressed. Derek's ringing phone distracted him from telling Sophia there was nothing to be worried about."Hello, Boss. Congratulations on signing a new Brand Ambassador for Aircastle!" It was Stephen. "Oh, thank you, Stephen.""We should celebrate this sometime later. Mr Montiers is a very big catch, you know. How did you manage to meet someone like him?" Stephen's voice was low. Derek laughed. "Herbert introduced him as a friend.""That's amazing. His influence would only bring your company more publicity and goodwill.""We still have to be careful though. Now that Morris must have seen his face, aren't you placing the man at risk?""You don't have to worry, I'll take care of that." "Speaking of Morris, I heard he had a closed meeting with some Elders 2 days ago," Stephen asked slowly. "Have you been able to find out their identities?"Derek wasn't sure, but he heard a mocking tone in Stephen's voice. "Why are you asking me this? Does it have anything to do with you?""What? No!" Derek relaxed back in his seat, watching Dominic give orders over the phone. "You have to finish things on my behalf in Italy, Slade. I have more pressing issues here in Orange Park.""Since my private jet is currently unavailable, book a rental and fly 30 men here first thing tomorrow morning! You should also get lots of resources and some men in the intelligence unit along." Dominic's voice was authoritative. Derek could only imagine how coordinated and powerful his Mafia would be back in Italy. He was truly a leader, a fearsome one at that. "Apologizes for the wait. I had to take care of some internal affairs at home." Dominic apologized when he was done, picking up his glass of wine. "It's fine. I urgently needed to speak with you concerning Morris that was why I came here." Derek jumped into it immediately. They just signed a contract yesterday and even spoke last night but Derek arrived quite early this morning to see Dominic. "I got intel on Gerald, who is currently a mafi

Sophia ran a glance at the pile of work she had to clear before going home today. She had been working for almost 3 hours but it seemed like the paperwork was never-ending.Ever since Dominic became Aircastle's Ambassador, everything changed for the better. Now, the company's stock price was about to reach $300/stock. Several companies had been calling to book appointments with them and they'd been receiving several investment offers from influential people. All of which meant more work for her. Later on, her secretary brought in lunch and Sophia had to literally force herself to eat. She felt the normal guilt of wasting time while there was so much to do. "You should take a break, ma'am. You've been working extra hours and shifts for the past few days. Please take some time off to rest." her secretary tried to advise her. Sophia glanced down at a document, a sandwich in her other hand. "I'll rest after I finish this paperwork today.""Ahh." The secretary gasped. "This is going to

The following morning, Morris woke up in an extremely good mood.He summoned Wallace immediately. "What's going on with the mission?""Our men have arrived in Italy and Ken is already directing them on what to do. They will be on police uniforms this morning to stop Dominic's jet when it's about to take off." Wallace reported. "Good." Morris nodded. "What about our plan B in case that doesn't work out?""Yes. Ken confirmed that he had had someone tamper with the engine of the jet. Even if they forcefully try to leave, they won't arrive in Orange Park alive.""Of course!" Morris laughed aloud. "That's more like it."Wallace scratched the back of his head, bowing to take a leave. "If that's all, Boss. I have to-""You and I know that isn't the only task I gave you." Morris squinted. Wallace's heart skipped a beat. "For Miss Sophia, I-" he faltered, unable to complete his speech. "Were you able to kidnap her successfully?" Morris asked directly. "Now!" Benson signalled his men, and they burst through the gates, opening fire on each and every thing on their way! Morris' men were very taken aback. They would require time to get into formation for defense. Before then, Benson reckoned they would have wiped out. But to his chagrin, they didn't take too long to adapt. Only a few got injured while the rest got into hiding and started exchanging fire. More men started to pour in from the mansion to join the assault, and soon Morris' men were overpowering Benson and his team that they had to retreat back outside the gates. "Where the fuck is Jack and his men, aren't they supposed to be attacking them from behind? The pressure on us is getting worse!" Benson yelled, moving to the foremost and targeting the leader of Morris' men. In his anger, he almost forgot to take cover and a bullet grazed past his arm, almost hitting him. "Be careful, Boss. Why're you sneaking in, instead of using the front gate?" she asked innocently, not an ounce of fear in her eyes. "Because we're here to meet a friend, and we don't want to disturb the rest of the nun's dinner! Now, come with me." Dominic dragged her along with his men, pressing his hand against her lips.He couldn't risk alerting any other person at this point. They approached the Head Nun's garden, got in, and peeked into the room through the window. "We just have to climb in and abduct her from here. "His men would be distracted by the sudden attack, I'll use that chance to get Sophia to safety.""What if struggle ensues between you and the person holding her hostage?" Benson asked an obvious question. "That will be in your hands, Benson. Immediately after leading your men in, locate Sophia first from a place of hiding. You should be able to kill the man holding her hostage with our special submachine gun." Derek rubbed his chin in thought. There was no other way they could approach it. He would be so busy with getting Morris down that he might not be able to look out properly for her. "I think that should be all?" Derek sat up.
