Chapter 1: Why You Do This To Me

As a janitor in a large company, Kenneth's workload is quite significant because he has to clean many rooms. Not only that, Kenneth also had to come early in the morning and go home at midnight. 

At this time, almost all the company's employees had gone home; the only people left were those working overtime. Kenneth was heading to a large meeting room in the marketing division. 

Kenneth's wife, Ramona, also worked for the company and was assigned to the marketing division. Kenneth also chose to clean the room in this division because he wanted to see his wife. 

"There aren't many people here anymore and I don't see Ramona. Has she gone home?" muttered Kenneth when he didn't see Ramona around where the marketing division was.

"Damn it! Go the right way! You'd rather work than spoil the scenery here!" One of the employees started cursing Kenneth and scolding him. 

Kenneth had often been poorly treated like this, so he just lowered his head and walked quickly towards the meeting room in this division. 

Kenneth was surprised when he opened the door to the meeting room and saw his wife, Ramona, making out intimately with a man he knew as one of the company's executives. 

"Ramona! What are you doing"?! Kenneth was utterly shocked and angry. He walked with heavy steps toward Ramona, who looked at him sarcastically. 

"What are you doing here?! Don't bother me!" Ramona quickly fixed her clothes and frowned in displeasure when she saw Kenneth there

"Do you know that janitor, dear?" The male executive, Ethan Clinton, asked affectionately to Ramona, who was still in his arms. 

Kenneth also pulled Ramona from Ethan's arms. He did not want his beloved wife to be hugged and fondled by another man like that. 

Seeing Kenneth's behavior, Ethan was not happy. He again pulled Ramona's hand and pushed Kenneth until he fell to the floor. 

"Bastard like you dare to touch my girlfriend, don't you know who I am?" Ethan became angry and insulted Kenneth. 

"I don't know him, can you shoo him away baby?" Ramona clung to Ethan's arm.

But instead of getting angry, Ethan laughed as he heard Kenneth say, "A despicable person like you claiming to be Ramona's husband? Don't you have any glass in your house?" Ethan laughed while pointing at Kenneth, who was still drooping on the floor. 

"This bastard dares to claim like this! How could I ever want to be with a poor, ugly person like you!" Ramona glared at Kenneth and looked away in annoyance. 

"Ramona, how can you say that to me?" Kenneth's heart really hurt when Ramona said that to him. 

Kenneth was used to being criticized and insulted by others; in fact, Ramona and her family did not treat him well, but this time, when Ramona did not recognize him as a husband, he felt very hurt. 

"I can't stand this asshole anymore. I'd better fire you from this company, we don't need someone useless like you!" Ethan also looked at Kenneth with a reproachful gaze and grinned happily when he saw Kenneth's pale face. 

Because of his position as one of the company's top executives, Ethan's order was enough to fire someone like Kenneth, who was just a janitor. 

"You better get out of here, while I'm still being kind," Ethan said again, kicking Kenneth's stomach vigorously this time.

"You just need to sign the divorce papers, I have prepared them at home. Not only that after you sign that, you have to leave our house. I don't want to stay longer with a useless person like you!" At the end of her sentence, Ramona slapped Kenneth until he fell to the floor.
