Chapter 2: Who Are You?!

With sluggish steps, Kenneth stepped out of the company building where he worked, which was no longer his workplace because he had been fired. Not only that, Kenneth felt his heart ache because Ramona asked for a divorce from him. 

Again, Ramona said she had to leave the house after signing their divorce papers. Kenneth did not know what to do after this. 

Kenneth's life was utterly destroyed at this time; he didn't even know where to go after leaving Ramona's family home. Kenneth was walking on the sidewalk with his head bowed; he turned his head to the right and could see a fast-flowing river.

For some reason, Kenneth stopped and stared at the river flowing under the bridge he was walking on. 

"Do you intend to jump down there?" 

Suddenly, Kenneth heard a sound around him. He woke up from his reverie and turned his head towards the source of the sound. When he turned around, Kenneth found a middle-aged man staring at him with a thin black mustache. 

"Are you talking about me?" Kenneth tilted his head while pointing at himself. 

The middle-aged man laughed when he heard Kenneth's words. While rubbing the corner of his eyes, the middle-aged man smiled at Kenneth. 

"Of course, I'm talking to you, young man." 

This was the first time Kenneth saw someone looking at him. Typically, people would look down on him and stare at him with a very noticeable, reproachful look; he was so used to it that he forgot what it was like to be treated well like this. 

"I'm sorry for bothering you. But, you just calm down. I didn't intend to do anything bad," Kenneth said, trying to explain himself frantically. 

"There's no need to apologize like that. I came here to talk to you anyway, Mr. Kenneth." The middle-aged man replied with a warm smile. 

Kenneth, who heard that, was surprised because what would this middle-aged man who looked like a rich man want to talk to him about? Although Kenneth had debts, he knew that this middle-aged man did not come to collect debts from him. 

Because the loan sharks who often sought him out looked scary and always came to him in groups, he knew this middle-aged man was not a loan shark who wanted to collect debts. 

"But, do you know me? Because I've never met you before," Kenneth replied in confusion. 

"How could I forget to introduce myself. I'm sorry, I'm too old to forget basic things like this," said the middle-aged man, slightly bowing his head. 

"Introducing me is Winsor. I am the head butler of the Anderson family," Winsor continued proudly, introducing himself. 

Kenneth was even more confused because why would someone from a conglomerate family like that look for him? For a moment, he became afraid that this person had bad intentions for him?

"Oh my, why would an important person like you look for me? Do I owe you anything?" In the end, Kenneth could not stop himself from asking this question. 

The only plausible reason why Winsor was looking for him was that he intended to collect a debt from him, which could have been a better intention. 

"No, it's not like that. I came here because your grandfather, Mr. Anderson, asked you to return home. Since his health is deteriorating, he wants you to come home immediately to pass on the family legacy," Winsor explained while looking straight at Kenneth. 

Kenneth was so shocked that he could have fainted at this moment, but he held himself back, and as a result, he was now unable to react after hearing Winsor's explanation. 

"Y-you're kidding, right? There's no way I'm the grandson of a conglomerate family," Kenneth replied while shaking his head, still unable to accept the information Winsor gave him. 

"I can explain if you want. One thing for sure is that we can't possibly miss recognize you," Winsor replied patiently. "For now, you better come with me to meet your grandfather. I'll explain everything along the way," Winsor continued. 

"But, I need to go back to my wife's family's house first, I have something to settle with them." Kenneth also remembered that he still had business with Ramona and her family. 

If Kenneth was the grandson of a conglomerate family, he had to settle his issues with Ramona and her family. 

"Alright, I'll take you there." Winsor immediately guided Kenneth toward the luxurious Rolls-Royce car waiting for them. 

Kenneth's body stiffened as he stepped into this luxurious car that he never imagined he would ride in. After that, Winsor took Kenneth to the Ramona family home.

Kenneth deliberately asked Winsor not to get out of the car and drop him off in front of the Ramona family's fence. After arriving, Kenneth immediately got off and walked into the house. 

When Kenneth was about to enter the house, he could see the big door suddenly open, and his clothes and belongings were thrown out. Kenneth was shocked to death when he saw that, and he hurriedly entered the house. 

"Mom, what are you doing?" Kenneth tried to stop his mother-in-law from throwing her things out. 

"This bastard finally came home! I heard what happened from Ramona." When she saw him coming home, Rosaline, who was Kenneth's mother-in-law, finally stopped throwing Kenneth's belongings. 

Ramona, who seemed to have heard Kenneth's arrival, hurriedly approached Kenneth and his mother, who were in the living room. 

"What took you so long? Even to the end, you're unreliable. Hurry up and sign the divorce papers!" Ramona said while holding her chest and raising her chin high. 

"Ramona, please think about this again. You know I love you very much. I will forgive you if you apologize now," Kenneth replied, hoping Ramona would change her mind about divorcing him. 

Hearing Kenneth's words made Ramona and Rosaline laugh out loud. 

"What did you say? I apologized to you? Seriously!" Ramona again pushed Kenneth, who was standing in front of her. 

"I've had it with you. You can't give me anything. I regret having to marry a useless person like you!" Ramona let out all the pent-up emotions she had been holding in. 

"Ramona..." Kenneth looked at Ramona with complicated feelings. 

"Don't waste my time anymore. Sign the divorce papers quickly. I can't bear to see you anymore." Ramona looked away, unwilling to look at Kenneth any longer. 

Kenneth reluctantly signed the divorce papers that Ramona gave him. Under Rosaline's glare, Kenneth swallowed harshly as he signed the papers. 

"I have signed it," Kenneth said as he returned the divorce papers to Ramona. 

After Kenneth gave Ramona the papers, he could feel Rosaline dragging him out of their house. 

"It's time for you to leave here. I don't want a despicable person like you to set foot in my house; don't expect to come back here again!" When she reached the front door of her house, Rosaline immediately pushed Kenneth's body hard. 

Because of that, Kenneth fell down on the cold floor; he had to groan in pain as his head hit the floor hard. 

"Take all this trash of yours with you!" Rosaline did not stop there as she kicked Kenneth's clothes, which were scattered on the floor. 

"I've come to help you, young master." Winsor's voice came from behind Kenneth.

Kenneth immediately looked back and was surprised that Winsor was there; he had not expected the middle-aged man to come out and help him like this.
