Chapter hundred thirty eight

The trio all exchanged glances, and while Adrian didn't want Sophie to hear of all this, there was nothing he could do about it again, because she had already heard.

He watched as tears ran down her eyes, and his heart broke.

“Doctor, there has to be something you can do or say about this.” Lucas spoke, but Adrian raised his right hand as a gesture for Lucas not to bother speaking further.

“We understand this could be beyond your medical knowledge, and it's fine. We'll find something else to do about it.”

“No. I can make a research about it, and although, it can take a few days, but I'll be sure to get to the root of this for you, because this is really dangerous to her health.” The doctor insisted, also looking concerned.

“No. You don't have to worry. She can't keep on like this, for days. I have another solution. Thank you for your time, and concern.” Adrian uttered, and the doctor had no choice than to heed to what Adrian had just told him.
