chapter 6 : Mr delivery guy

Walking out of the hotel, Mason had freshened up earlier, and was good to go. Although he had only one problem which was the bread delivery uniform which was still clinging tightly to his body, he needed to get a few clothes after all he had the money in his bank account.

Before walking out of the hotel, Mason had came to a conclusion that he would be heading straight to a boutique, of course a quality boutique to get a few wears, which was where he was headed right now.

Looking left and right, Mason could feel the cool early morning breeze on his body, he felt so refreshed and energized.

Mason patiently waited for a taxi which didn't take long to show up, stopping the taxi, Mason got in and the taxi zoomed off with the boutique as it's destination.

The taxi came to a halt at an expensive looking boutique, Mason dropped down from the taxi and the driver zoomed off after he had been paid. Mason stood outside the boutique for a while, admiring the design and architecture of the place.

He could see a few rubber dummies which were dressed in fancy clothings, and it kinda of made it look like a decoration for the boutique.

After a few secs of admiration, Mason walked up to the entrance of the boutique, heads up with confidence as he moved.

As Mason approached the entrance, he could see two guards on uniform standing just beside the automatic transparent door, and somehow they had their eyes on him, ignoring their stares Mason confidently approached the door and made to walk right past them into the boutique, but a voice made him stop in his track.

"Young man how can we help you ? " One of the security personnel said as he stared at mason disdainfully.

Looking at the man who had just spoke Mason could see he was scanning him from his head to his toes mostly looking at the bread delivery uniform on his body with disgust. Noticing the way the man was staring at him,Mason decided to reply.

" I'm here to shop of course " Mason replied nonchalantly.

Mason's reply burned through the security guards ears and the both of them could be seen clenching their fists in anger.

" I'm sorry delivery guy, you are not needed here, we can't let you in " one of the guards said, plainly denying Mason access into the boutique.

The two guards looked Mason from his head to his toes clearly wondering what a poor delivery guy like Mason would be doing at a classic expensive boutique like this one. 'Was he just here to disgrace and embarrass himself? '.

Looking at him he didn't even look like someone who would be able to afford even the most cheapest item in the boutique.

The atmosphere grew tense, and somehow Mason was beginning to loose his cool, why were people like this, why do rich people look down on the poor, why was it so, was that how it was supposed to be , no this was something Mason didn't agree with and will never do.

Mason was deep in his thought, but then seeing that the guards in front of him were still firm on their word of not letting him into the boutique, Mason's blood began to boil in anger and as he was about to raise his voice, his phone vibrated in his left pocket.

Bringing out his phone, Mason tapped on the message and as it opened Mason was alittle shocked, although he wasn't very shock as this was not the first time this kind of thing was happening.

Mason's eyes wandered on the alert message displaying on his phone screen.it was yet another huge amount of money, his bank account had just been credit yet again with another huge sum of money.

Mason looked up to see that the expression on the faces of the guards had now changed, the expression on their faces which was that of disdain and disgust earlier had now changed into that of fear and respect, it was clear that they had also seen the credit alert on Mason's screen.

With how close they were to Mason, they had managed to spy, and that was how they managed to see the alert, and right now all they felt was to apologise to this man, apologize for the discomfort and disrespect they had shown this man.

"We are really sorry sir, it won't happen again, we are truly sorry for the discomfort and disrespect shown towards you sir we are really sorry, you may go in now sir " they pleaded. Looking at them, Mason felt it was time wasting to listen to them, so he ignored them and walked into the boutique indifferently.

Normally in a boutique of this caliber, when a customer steps into the boutique, they would be immediately welcomed by a few beautiful sales girls, who would be happy to attend to every needs and guilde them through out the inner sections of the boutique.

But of course Mason's case would always be different, on getting inside, Mason scanned the whole place, he could see a few sales girls and boys here and there, the whole place was well decorated and the clothes were neatly arranged in their right places. A few people were even present as they moved from row to row selecting wears.

Noticing that a customer had entered the boutique, one of the sales girls made her way to the door, ready to attend to whoever had came through the door.

But as she got closer to the door, she froze, her eyes locked to that of the young man who was standing just in front of the door inside the boutique with a bread delivery uniform clinging to his body.

Her eyes scanned him from head to toe and somehow she was beginning to wonder how on Earth was this man able to get past the guards. It was all clear that this person won't be able to purchase any of the clothings here so why let him inside in the first place.

Mason whose eye was also on the lady in front of him, had noticed the disgust look and body language of this female. So instead of waiting for her to attend to him, Mason walked past her, he could feel her eyes on him as he turned into a corner and began admiring the clothes around.

As he scanned through the shelves of the boutique,Mason ignored the stares and whispers of the people around, paying deaf ears, he began to select quality wears which was clearly very expensive.

The only thoughts going through the heads of the people who were still staring at mason was that he would surely embarrass himself when it was time to pay for all he had selected, little did they know.

After selecting the clothes,it was time for Mason to pay for all he had purchased, but as he walked to the counter, Mason heard a female voice, this time it wasn't a whisper, it was clearly audible.

" I'm sure he doesn't have the money to pay for all this stuff, he is just wasting our time " one of the sales girls said.

Mason stopped and turned to look at the lady who had said this, and he wasn't surprised to see that it was the same sales girl that had wanted to welcome him into the boutique earlier but had stopped with disgust on her face when she saw he was just an ordinary delivery man.

As she made the statement, the people around couldn't help but nod in agreement, they knew it was impossible for a delivery man to shop in a boutique of this caliber. And soon whispers and insults were being thrown at mason like he was not even in the room.

It was beginning to get louder and louder that Mason got tired of the situation and decided to act.

" I want to pay for what I've selected and get out of here" he yelled, as he turned around and walked to the counter, surprisingly the people around including the sales girls and boys followed as they too wanted to see if Mason was truly capable of paying his bills, which was most likely not to be the case.

Although everyone wanted to keep on talking and whispering, they lowered their voices as they watched Mason do the transfer, he was not with his card and he was clearly not with cash, which meant the only means of paying right now was to do a bank transfer with his phone.

But the worst happened, immediately Mason brought out his phone to do a transfer, he found out his phone had shutdown due to low power.

He raised his head up and wanted to speak, when one of them suddenly spoke rudely.

"Mr delivery guy, you're wasting our time, it will be better if you quickly transfer the money."

Ignoring the person who had just spoken, Mason stretched his phone to the lady behind the counter, telling her that his phone had just went off and that he won't be able to make the transfer.
