Kelvin rode his bicycle into the compound, and Katherine followed closely with her Mercedes Benz GLK 350. When Kelvin entered the house, Mariana and Johnny rushed towards him, with anger.

"And where have you been? Where is the document? What have you done to it?! You animal!" Mariana roared continuously.

Kelvin ignored her to enter the room, but she held his trousers and dragged him back.

"Where are the papers, you useless fool? Why are you doing this to us? What's so difficult for you to sign? Can you please leave my family alone?" Mariana continued, her eyes had become teary.

Kelvin only stared at her in anger, but he didn't utter a word.

"Kelvin, you have to sign this document. We don't want you in our family anymore. We can't take a share of your failure, you asshole." Johnny snapped in.

Immediately, Katherine came into the house with the document in her hands. Hearing those harsh words from her family, a sad expression flew across her face.

"Hey, darling, you have the document. Did he sign it?" Mariana asked, seeing her daughter standing right before her with the document in her hands. Her face brightened up, in anticipation of a positive response from Katherine.

Katherine shifted her gaze to Kelvin, so much sadness in her eyes. She looked back at her mom and nodded her head in agreement.

"Yes!!" Johnny screamed. He rushed and hugged their momma, Mariana. There was so much joy on their faces, while Kelvin stared at them in humiliation.

"Finally, we're free from this shit!" Mariana said laughing happily.

Kelvin stared at them, his anger brewing up slowly. He bit his lips and sauntered to the room angrily.

"Hahaha!!!!" Mariana laughed aggressively, taunting him with her mocking laughter, but he didn't give her the satisfaction of seeing him in pain.

Kelvin entered the room and started packing his bags. He had just a little luggage, just his clothes and shoes. He was scattering everything carelessly, and a pair of Katherine's heels fell on his head, from the top of the wardrobe.

He bent to the ground and pressed onto his head, grunting in pain. He brought out his cell phone and used its screen as a mirror to see his head. The spot on his head had swollen.

He kicked his box out of frustration, and Mariana overheard the box crashing to the ground.

"What do you think he is doing there?" She asked.

"What else? He is surely packing his stupid clothes to leave the house." Johnny said laughing with immense joy.

"Oh! If that's the case, go and ensure that he doesn't make away with any of our expensive properties. Watch him closely, and make sure he doesn't steal anything." Mariana instructed.

"Mom, please, stop this nonsense." Katherine pleaded, but Mariana and Johnny ignored her anyway.

Johnny smiled, happy that he got the chance to ridicule Kelvin again. He barged into the room with an evil smirk on his face.

"So you mind telling me what you're doing? I hope you've not taken something that doesn't belong to you already?" He said mockingly.

Kelvin ignored him and held onto his head, still in pain.

Johnny seized the chance and snatched Kelvin's bag from on top of the fancy desk and unzipped it quickly.

"Stop this nonsense, you moron… dumb forsaken son of a bitch!" Kelvin cursed angrily. On hearing Kelvin's angry voice, Mariana and Katherine ran to the room.

Kelvin grabbed the bag and struggled to collect it from Johnny, but Johnny wouldn't let go.

In the process, Johnny turned the bag upside down, and a picture of Kelvin and his parents crashed on the floor and shattered into pieces. That was the only picture of his parents he had with him.

Johnny jerked back as Kelvin glared at him, his eyes showing his anger. He charged towards Johnny and punched him very hard. Johnny collapsed on the wall, and blood rushed out of his nose.

"Oh my god! Stop hitting him, you crazy child." Mariana cried out in defense of her son but Kelvin wouldn't stop.

Johnny tried to defend himself from Kelvin's brutality, but Kelvin was far stronger than him. Kelvin kicked him on the stomach and he knelt.

Before he could help himself up, a dangerous punch landed on his left cheek, sending him down to the ground unconsciously.

"Kelvin stop!" Katherine shouted, but Kelvin wouldn't stop. He had poured out all his anger on Johnny. Mariana rushed towards him and slapped him on the cheek, in a bid to call him to order.

"You stupid tyrant! Don't kill my son," Mariana yelled and slapped him again. This time, Kelvin didn't ignore her. He had had enough of her misbehaviors.

He slapped her so hard that she collapsed on the bed and held her cheek. Shock seized them all, and silence engulfed the room.

Katherine glared at Kelvin.

"How dare you raise your hands on my mom?!" She ranted, but Kelvin gave her a terrifying look. His eyes had gone red, she froze and ended her statement there.

The fear in her eyes as she stared at him, she had never seen him in such anger since they got married. She retreated a little in fear, as he took a few steps towards her.

"Leave us alone," Mariana muttered tiredly, her voice barely above a whisper.

Kelvin bent down and picked the picture and took a glance at it. He dipped it back into his bag, lifted the bag to his back, and left the room.

Katherine, Mariana, and Johnny exchanged glances, without saying a word to each other. They watched as he left the room quietly in anger, and Mariana burst into tears after he had gone.

Katherine rushed to her mom on the bed. She checked her cheek if she was wounded by the slap. "I'm sorry Mom," she said. She was still marveling at what just happened.

"Bastard son of a bitch!!" Johnny cursed and he struggled to help himself off the floor.

"Make him pay for this. I want you to deal with him mercilessly, so he will know what pain feels like," Mariana said to Katherine, but Katherine nodded her head in disapproval.

"What, are you siding with him?!" Mariana shouted unbelievably.

"I'm not siding with him, Mom! You know what? Both of you should go to your rooms, I need a minute alone." Katherine said, rubbing her forehead with her palms. She was tired and confused.

Mariana glanced at her and left the room without uttering a word, and Johnny followed behind.

Katherine dabbed her face in frustration. Even though she had gotten the divorce papers signed as she wanted, she felt empty inside.

It was like a part of her had left. And it only brought pain and guilt to her, not happiness, as she thought.

Outside the house, it was snowing as Kelvin rode his bicycle down the lonely road. His body was shaking heavily. He had resolved to spend the night in his small company, to evade the cold.

On getting to the company, he entered and found his way to a small room that had desks inside it. He lay on a desk and covered himself with his blanket.

He fixed his gaze on the roof as he traveled deep in thought.

He would be owning the Fubris company soon. He thought about establishing himself in Vancouzer, instead of going back home like a loser who returned when he had no choice.

He came to a resolution that he would build his name in the city, and make his family proud. With these thoughts hovering in his mind, he fell asleep in no time.

Katherine had arranged herself to return home, when she spotted Kelvin standing right by the far end of the building, sipping his water like he didn't care. She plodded in his direction, with her hands folded across her chest."Hey," she greeted, and Kelvin waved his hand like he didn't know who she was."Uhh! You've got a moment?" She said, raising her voice."Gosh! Katherine, you wanted to divorce, I've given you what y

Different thoughts occupied his mind. The door flung open, and 3 policemen entered the room with a file. Kelvin glared at them, knowing very well that he was innocent of the accusations."Have you come to make a bluff, officer?" Kelvin asked, showing no sign of anxiety. A weird smirk covered his face, as he shifted his gaze from one of the policemen to the other."Listen to me Kelvin, I know you're stubborn, but trust me, it won't help you here.""We're the only ones who can save you from going to jail. All you have to do is admit the truth, that you stole the Strongbox." The policeman with the file said to him. Kelvin raised his head and furrowed

She never expected Johnny to associate with such a plan of Duncan's, so she didn't care to plead on his behalf."Hey Kelv," she greeted, but he gave her a clumsy look, and returned his gaze to the ceiling like she wasn't there. She sighed and sat on the chair close to his bed. Her gaze traveled from his head to toe, assessing the wounds her brother, and her lover inflicted on him. "How're you feeling now?"
