Chapter 40

Just as he was about to leave the restaurant, he remembered that he was going to leave his ex-wife, Sarah, who seemed to be the most confused person on earth at that moment.

He turned and stared at her with a cold gaze on his face. “I'm sorry that I'm leaving you so soon but it seems my ride is here and I can't afford to waste my time on a piece of trash like you. Can I?” He asked and turned to the guards, who understood the assignment.

“Of course, you can't, Sir,” she said and moved closer to him with an angry look on her face.

She raised her hand to slap him but the guards surrounded him with a fierce look on their faces.

“If I were you, I would drop my hand and leave in shame.”

“How dare you raise my hand before our master?” One of the guards asked in a cold tone and she arched her eyebrows.

“Master?” She asked with a confused look.

“Why are you surprised? Don't you know?” He asked, playing along. The bodyguard was taking the play further than he thought and he enjoyed it.
