Chapter 71: The Competition
Getting to his medical centre which was progressing well, he entered the large shop and sat down inside one of his offices after responding to the greeting of some of his workers in his centre. His medical centre has gained popularity over the last few months as different clients of different illnesses kept getting healed for free with his medical. While some of them were ungrateful and never came back to appreciate him, most of them came back and rewarded him handsomely, promising to grow his medical centre. For that reason, he kept doing what he loved the best. Saving lives and restoring hope. He dropped the crutches on the table after sitting on the swivel chair in his office. He let out a soft sigh as he stared at the numerous paper work on his table. Some small medical businesses have been coming to him with different business proposals but he wasn't particularly interested or impressed by any of them because most of their systems and transactions weren't pure and transparent.

Getting to his bus stop, Adrian alighted from the cab holding his crutches very close to him. He pushed his hand into his pocket, brought out some cash, and handed it over to the driver who collected it from him with a warm smile on his face. “Have a nice day sir,” the driver said excitedly and drove out speedily without waiting for his response. Adrian shook his head with a sigh and headed to the street that led to his small home. He entered his compound and went straight to his bedroom. He slumped hard on the bed putting the crutches beside him. He released an exasperated sigh. He was exhausted due to the work he did earlier on the pregnant woman. Although it seemed as though he didn't do much when he was with the lady, the practice took a lot of energy from him and that made him very tired at the moment. The young man took a deep breath and his body trembled involuntarily as soon as the thought crossed his mind. His breathing quickened and his heart skipped a bit. Adrian stood there and stared at them speechless for a while, unaware of what to say. The pregnant woman kept crying on the bed that she was placed inside. He took a deep breath and made the decision. Although he had no experience in helping pregnant women deliver, he had read quite a lot of local techniques that could help pregnant women give birth with ease without surgery.
