The next day, he opened his eyes as his alarm blared out loudly. He groaned out with a frustrated look on his face and reached out to the alarm on the table then put it off.

“Why do you have to disturb me, huh?” He asked and stood up from the bed.

He yawned and rubbed his hand on his eyes. He reached out to the crutches on the floor and clenched them close to himself.

“Ahh…” he grunted out in pain as he struggled to climb down from the bed with the crutches.

He limped toward the nightstand where his phone was ringing. He reached out to it and picked it up from the nightstand. He rested his arm on crutches and swiped through the phone with his right hand.

He arched his eyebrows with a confused look on his face as he stared at the caller ID, which turned out to be Chloe.

Why is she talking to him? He asked himself but he couldn't get an answer to it.

He took a deep breath and picked the call then placed the phone close to his ears. “Hello,” he spoke up in his cold tone.
