"It's been a while since we chatted? Tell me, what has been happening around you?" Nick cornered Arthur the next day at work as soon as he got into the mall.

Indeed, Nick no longer understood what was happening with Arthur. He also noticed that the latter hadn't come to him for some advice. On the other hand, Arthur could not tell the man anything because Jesse was still angry with him. It was only her who knew about his real identity.

"Arthur, what have you been up to?"

"Uh, nothing. I've just been busy?" Arthur replied and turned his face away. He knew where the conversation would lead to and was trying to avoid it.

"You've been busy with what? Tell me, how's it going with you and Jesse? Have you been able to get her to forgive you? Why does it look like you're forgetting about me?"

Nick was grinning as he asked and Arthur could not help but let out a chuckle. He wished it was indeed the way Nick had spoken. Unfortunately, Jesse didn't want to have anything to do with him anymore.
