Jesse was stunned.

She quickly pulled out of his arms when she heard his words. She was already blushing but turned her face away.

Arthur, who understood her reaction, smiled sheepishly. “What do you think? Remember, whatever you say is what will happen. I'm not going to force it on you if you're not ready.”

Arthur's words did not make Jesse turn. She still had her face turned to a direction where Arthur could not see it. Opening her mouth, she began to stutter.

“I, um… Actually Arthur, I'm not ready to have that conversation or act on those words. Maybe we should wait till after our marriage.”
