Chapter 18

In Sonya’s cozy room, the little girl sat on her bed with her school assignment spread out in front of her. Monica, her father’s assistant, sat beside her, helping her with her work.

She had been assigned by Caspian to creep into the little girls head and heart, see what her day in school was life to check for any signs of intrusion as it was a world that Caspian knew would not be safe for his daughter.

Also, since Lalya had visited, Caspian had been worried that Sonya’s heart might be won over so that she would prefer the company of her mother.

Monica asked Sonya, “So, how was school today, Sonya?”

Sonya looked up with a smile and replied, “It was good! We learned about the solar system in science class.”

Monica nodded, “That sounds interesting. And how was the bus ride to school?”

Sonya giggled, “The bus driver played my favorite song on the radio, so it was fun!”

Monica then asked, “And how is your teacher, Mrs. Jenkins?”
