Chapter 24

Caspian sat at his desk, a frown etched on his face as he sifted through the reports and information gathered by his men about the attack in Burry’s border. Andreas stood beside him, watching with a concerned look on his face.

He wasn't worried about being attacked, a necessarily as he should, but he was worried about not knowing particularly where the attack came from.

“I can’t believe we still haven’t found any leads on who could have carried out the attack on us,” Caspian muttered, frustration lacing his voice.

Andreas sighed, “I know, Caspian. We’ve been scouring every corner, questioning every informant we have, but it seems like the attackers just vanished into thin air.”

Caspian ran a hand through his hair in exasperation, “My gut tells me it could be Don Albert or Don Razor behind this, but without any proof, we can’t do anything.”

Andreas nodded in agreement, “It’s a dangerous game to accuse them without concrete evidence. We need to tread carefully.”
