Lily’s life flashed before her eyes as the door was opened and about four men walked into the room. Daniel pushed her against a dark wall, and they turned off their torchlights, crouching to the floor.

“Spread out, and search this room!” a man yelled.

That man was Adams, the chief of security. He barely left the house, except on important occasions, and he had worked for the Whitewoods for a long time, so he knew their secret from back to front, and he protected it with his entire life.

Daniel wasn’t very new to the job but Mr. Whitewood trusted him because his father used to work for them too.

“Follow me. We will use the illumination from their torchlights to leave the room,” Daniel whispered to Lily, who was creaking with fear, and she whispered.

This was because the lights in the room turned off with the alarm.

He took off his shirt and handed it over to her.

“Tuck this into your nightwear, and cover it with your robe,” he said, and she did exactly that.
