CHAPTER 123

They all set out to eat Maureen's food. Small James was not as calm as her sister; he wasn't shy at all; he ate like someone who had not eaten for a decade, and his sister was ashamed of his actions. She started communicating with him with her eyes, but each time their eyes met, James would quickly look away, pretending that he didn't see anything.

Nora mustered courage and started correcting him verbally, but turned deaf ears to do her correction.

"James, maintain good eating habits and stop rushing," Nora warned him with a stern voice. But small James was unfazed; he kept exhibiting his rude behaviour. "I won't; the food is too sweet to eat slowly; after all, mom cooks enough food; eat and allow me to eat."

Nora bent her head and rolled her eyes, but James didn't want anything to disturb his eating, so he continued and pretended he didn't see her angry.

James could not help but smile. The two had been behaving like cats and dogs since they had come back from an outing.
