CHAPTER NINETY SEVEN

He heard a woman's voice threatening at the other end but the man didn't say anything until he ended the call.

He knelt in front Andrew after he received the call and pleaded, "Please sir, have mercy on me, I have nowhere to sleep tonight, as you can hear on the phone, that was my wife, I dare not go home without money and the Job I did today hasn't paid me,"

"So you mean your wife was the person that threatened you now?" Andrew scoffed

"Yes, she is the one." the man replied

"Love should be mutual between couples, why would she think that you should die? How would she benefit from it? I trust my Nats, she doesn't usually disturb me like this."

"What do you want me to do for you?"

"Just allow me to sleep here till tomorrow." the man pleased

"It is dangerous, you are a stranger, what if everything here is gone before daybreak?" Confusion etched his face as he asked

"I'm not a thief and I'm a very responsible man, here is my ID card, you can check to see if I am not lying."
