Chapter 01

[Althon, help me]

[A man is bothering me]

[I'm in Star Heaven now]

[I'm scared]

Althon rushed out of the small restaurant when he received a message from his girlfriend, Alicia.

He got on his electric bike, put on his helmet, and prepared to leave.

The food stall owner suddenly came out of the door. "Where are

you going, asshole? You have to deliver an important order now."

"I'm sorry, sir. I have to leave now. A jerk bullied my girlfriend, and she needs me now." Althon sped the electric bike onto the highway.

"I'm the one who needs you now! If you're not back in three, I'll fire you! Hey!"

Althon threw his hat at the bald man. "I quit."

Althon ignored the tavern owner's ramblings, overtaking several vehicles quickly. He and Alicia had been dating for four months. Alicia was beautiful and charming, and he was lucky that she was willing to accept him as her lover even though he only worked as a food delivery person with a small salary.

Their first meeting was in high school. Alicia was a woman who treated him well, unlike the other students who often bullied him because he was an orphan.

Althon liked Alicia from the first time he met her, but he only got the chance to date her four months ago. Althon couldn't give Alicia expensive things, but he tried to be a good lover for her.

Ten minutes later, Althon parked his electric bike in a row of luxury cars, rushing into the club. His face was red with anger and worry. No jerk should bother his girlfriend as long as he lives.

[Althon, where are you?]

[I'm so scared]

Althon hurriedly ran down the hallway when he received a new message from Alicia. He passed by the visitors, ignoring their rants and jeers.

Althon felt lucky to be able to enter the bar without passing the club bouncer's inspection. Star Heaven was a luxurious club in Asthonia frequented by the wealthy.

Althon called Alicia, but she didn't pick up his call. He saw many patrons dancing in pairs. Some people were seen making out on the couches.

"Isn't this a party?" Althon surveyed the surroundings. "I... know these people. They're my old school friends. Alicia didn't say anything about this party."

The crowd suddenly clapped and gathered at the center of the dance floor.

"What's going on? Alicia!"

Althon watched the surroundings as he continued to contact Alicia. He was getting more and more worried about the woman's well-being, especially since he didn't see Alicia anywhere. However, when he looked forward, he saw that the patrons had suddenly shifted to the side, opening a path for him.

"I love you, Alvin." A woman's voice rang out clearly.

Althon was so shocked that his eyes widened when he saw Alicia embracing and kissing a man. The audience clapped excitedly.

"Alicia." Althon clenched his fists tightly. His chest was pounding so hard that he was suffocating. "That man... is Alvin. He was the one who used to bully me at school. So, he's the one who's been bullying Alicia."

Althon gritted his teeth. "I won't let you bully me and hurt my girlfriend, Alvin."

"Let go of my girlfriend, Alvin!" Althon shouted as he walked forward. The visitors began to turn their heads towards him, but Alicia and Alvin were still hugging and kissing.

"You bastard! What did you do to my girlfriend?" Althon squealed loudly as he approached Alvin.

Alvin chuckled, removing his kiss from Alicia's lips. "I'm surprised to see you at this party, Althon. Did you come to deliver food?"

Alvin's friends burst out laughing.

Alvin hugged Alica, kissing her forehead softly. "You came at the right time, Althon. I've just proposed to Alicia, my beloved. We'll be engaged in a month. You should congratulate me and Alicia."

"What?" Althon was instantly surprised, turning to Alicia. He saw the same ring on Alicia's and Alvin's fingers. "Alicia is my girlfriend. I came because Alicia told me that some jerk was bothering her."

Alvin and his friends laughed while Alicia looked the other way.

"You must be crazy, Althon. Alicia and I have been dating for two years. We've had a good relationship all this time. Look at Alicia carefully. Does she seem bothered by my presence next to her? She looks happy."

Alvin and his friends laughed loudly.

"You're good at jokes, Althon. How could Alicia be dating a pathetic guy like you?"

"Alicia," Althon called, his voice trembling with anger. "Tell Alvin and these people that we're lovers. We've been dating for four months. You asked me to come because someone disturbed you in this place."

Alicia let out a long breath. "Stop all your lies, Althon. I can't possibly be dating you. Just because I'm being nice to you doesn't mean you can tell everyone we're dating."

"Alicia, you couldn't have forgotten that we promised to be lovers in the city park, could you? You told me that you loved me. You even came to my work at the restaurant to give me lunch."

"City park? The restaurant?" Alvin kissed Alicia. "You are a pathetic man, Althon. How could you ask a woman out on a date in that dirty city park?"

"Alicia," Althon said in a voice shaking with anger. He didn't want to believe this, but Alicia seemed to hate him now.

Alicia took a step forward. "Listen to me carefully, Althon. I never had any feelings for you. I'm being nice to you because I pity you."

"Alvin must have influenced you, Alicia." Althon walked over. "Come with me. I'll take you away."

"Althon!" cried Alicia with a sharp look.

"Alicia," Althon muttered and stopped walking. He didn't expect the meek woman to yell at him and stare at him hatefully.

"I can't be dating a guy like you! Stop fantasizing and please take a good look at yourself! You're just an orphaned man with no family and no future! You're just a store clerk with a small salary! Any woman would think a thousand times about becoming your lover!"

Alicia hugged Alvin, kissed his cheek, and smiled. "I can't possibly ruin my life by being with a pathetic man like you! I have Alvin in my life. He's the perfect man for me."

Althon was the most handsome man in this room, but his good looks were useless if the man didn't have money and position.

Althon gritted his teeth. His chest was so tight that he could hardly breathe. Compared to the laughter of Alvin and his friends, he was more devastated by Alicia's words.

Althon thought of Alicia as his angel, but she was hurting him. He realized that Alicia had only been playing tricks on him all along.

"Alvin is better than you in every way! You're just a useless pebble! No one wants you or cares about you! Get out of my sight, and don't ever appear in front of me again!" chased Alicia as she pointed at the exit.

"Did you hear my lover's words just now? Leave this place now, and don't disturb my party!" Alvin smiled. "Leave before I order the guards to throw you out!"
