Chapter 186

The long night finally gave way to morning. Heavy rain followed by a strong wind caused traffic jams on several roads, and some pedestrians ran for shelter.

In a room, a newsreader was reporting on the riots in Paulcity last night. The screen showed many damaged city facilities, looted shops and buildings, garbage strewn everywhere, and the police leading several groups of thugs to their cars.

Police and army cars patrolled all corners of the city, spreading out to catch any rogues who were still hiding. Residents gathered on several street corners. Journalists reported from the scene, asking questions to some of the residents.

The police checked every vehicle entering and leaving Paulcity. Glen and some of his subordinates were in a car. They had survived the gang's pursuit after hiding in the river and empty buildings for most of the night.
