A BITTER MORNING

The moment they got to the house, Victoria was already standing by the door, waiting for them to arrive. When Maven saw her facial expression, she knew there was trouble, but there was absolutely nothing she could do about it.

“My mom doesn't look happy, but trust me, she cannot chase you out of here." Maven said with clenched teeth as she held Thomas's hand firmly.

“Hey mom, what is the matter?” Maven asked her when they had walked a little bit closer to her.

“What was all that about? What did you think you were doing with him at Grandma Clara's house when you knew Sabastian would be there?” She queried.

Well, I wasn't there for Sabastian. I went there because Grandma asked me to show up at her house." Maven corrected. Did you find it fit to go there with this moron? Look how he embarrassed the family before Sabastian." Victoria spoke with anger, not minding how hurtful her words were or how far they could go in hurting Thomas.
