CHAPTER 24

The meeting lasted for about an hour. Victor could not defend the missing funds in some of the accounts.

He kept silent, his hand trapped across his mouth. His father wasn't present in the meeting, and everything was being said. He has to act fast before the truth is discovered.

Before Coleman's passing, Victor and his father had been involved in a major loot that affected the company badly. He has tried to cover the holes so well, but the auditors hired are different from the ones his father has always used.

They always had a deal to strike after the loot holes had been locked, and the remaining would be shared among themselves.

By the time the meeting ended, Peter had asked Victor to stay back.

"Sit please".

"There are going to be a few changes around here, and if you want to continue working here, you have to obey my rules.".

"What changes are you talking about?"

"Calm down". Peter said.

He looked at Victor closely. The large hall held a tense smell of contempt between the two men.
