Chapter 251
Author: Dreamy Fire
After Felix arrived at Tabiner Bay, he pulled into the parking lot and handed his keys to the security guard. He then told Dora to send someone over for the car. As he walked past Yvonne's villa, he noticed her sitting in her yard, even though it was already late.

"Want to come in for a bit?" she offered after they locked eyes.

"It's alright. I'm kind of tired."

Curiosity flickered in Yvonne's eyes. Felix actually managed to get back from the Phoenix Legion unscathed. It seemed unlikely that they would arrest someone by mistake.

It would be ridiculous if the Phoenix Legion had mobilized their teams without solid evidence, wouldn't it?

"What other secrets are you hiding, Felix?" As Yvonne muttered to herself, she steeled herself.

This was precisely why she was sent here. But part of her hoped she would not uncover anything. If she did, the chances of him being together with her boss might just become higher.

Felix had barely stepped into his yard when Sherlyn dashed over.

Outside, Jaden was approaching slowly with a faint smile on his face. "He can't even sense the killing intent I'm releasing on purpose. This Felix guy is pretty average, isn't he?" He wanted to test the waters. Otherwise, nobody could have noticed his movements with his skills. "Are you Jaden Hault?" A woman suddenly appeared and blocked his path. Jaden squinted as he sized her up. He then smiled. "Well, well, if it isn't Xena Summers! Never thought our first meeting would be at such a place and timing." Jaden had seen Xena's pictures countless times. Even if she had looked hideous, he would still marry her and treat her well. That was because his mentor's divination demanded it. However, what man wouldn't appreciate beauty? He had been struck by her looks in the photos, so he was naturally overjoyed. He had basically already claimed her as his woman. "You're indeed very strong. I can tell just from your killing intent." Xena had mixed feelings about this. She never expecte

Xena knew Jaden had already achieved the level of Martial King. He was capable of projecting Primordial Energy to kill invisibly. The security cameras had already been destroyed. There would be no evidence even if the murder happened right before her eyes. Martial artists of this caliber were normally handled by the headquarters. Even as the goddess of war, she was not qualified to face someone of his strength. In desperation, Xena blurted out, "If you kill him, I will never be with you!" Frowning, Jaden lowered his hand. "Fine. I'll spare his life since you're the goddess of war and have duties to fulfill. But you'll have to explain this to your mentor. If not, my vow to him would become a joke."Xena sighed in relief. "I'll explain everything." The two of them left.In the yard, Felix had just seen Sherlyn off, too. He merely glanced their way without much concern. He would have confronted Jaden for sure if Xena had not been there. But since she was present, he preferred no

It was just a joke. Ernest continued, "Promise me something. If you give it a shot and still don't have any feelings for Sherlyn, tell her straight. I'm worried she'll fall too hard and end up hurting more later." Felix gave a wry smile. "Do you really think I'm that irresistible?" To his surprise, Ernest nodded firmly. "That's right. Some people are born to be great. So, women would flock to them naturally. My granddaughter is not some untouchable goddess after all—it's only natural she'd fall for you." Such high praise made Felix feel a bit awkward. "If that's how it turns out, I will." This seemed to be just the warm-up. Ernest set down his fishing rod and looked Felix in the eyes. He said, "I've got a favor to ask you." Felix became a bit fidgety. "You're always making me nervous." Ernest waved him off with a grave look. "This is about our national pride. I don't take that lightly. Our Dragonian culture has kept martial arts alive for thousands of years, and the same

Felix stood up. He had never seen Gerald this furious before, so something big must have happened. "I'm listening, Mr. Hoffman." Even Ernest looked over curiously. For someone as young as Felix to have such exceptional medical skills, his mentor could not be an ordinary man, either. "Guneria's gone too far! How dare they look down on our traditional medicine that's been passed down for generations? There's going to be a medical competition with them soon." Felix then realized that Gerald's anger was because of the same thing Ernest had just mentioned. "Mr. Hoffman, another respectable hero had already asked me to participate. Don't worry. I'll make sure those Gunerian jerks leave in tears." Gerald laughed. "Is that so? Then, I won't say much more. If you don't crush them completely, don't bother showing your face to me again." "Mr. Holt Senior, my mentor's call was about the same thing. He's furious, too." Ernest smiled. Having devoted himself to the country, he naturally

Just then, Yvonne's boss called. "Miss." "That woman in the photo you sent yesterday is Sherlyn, Ernest Holt's granddaughter." What? Ernest Holt? Yvonne was shocked. Having followed her boss for so long, of course she would know such a prominent figure. "My goodness, miss! How could someone of Sherlyn's status be associated with Felix?" Surprisingly, she laughed. "Ernest has settled in Avesburgh, right next door to Felix. Given how low-key Ernest is, some interaction as neighbors should be normal. It's probably just surface-level pleasantries, nothing big."As for why Sherlyn helped Felix, perhaps Ernest just didn't like how the Phoenix Legion was making such a fuss over an ordinary person, so he sent his granddaughter to smooth things over. No need to read too much into it. "But if Felix really did earn Ernest's support, he might just have a shot at climbing the social ladder." The call ended abruptly, leaving Yvonne with a bitter smile. The reason why her boss could be

"Just give me the account number." Logan smiled. Judging from Felix's attitude, things would be easier to deal with. "Not so fast. After paying, this Harold kid has to be a greeter at the restaurant entrance for a week. He'll have to be on his knees and greet every customer who comes in round the clock." Felix, who was about to open his banking app, frowned at Logan. "Is that really necessary?" Harold cheerfully shrugged. "I don't mind. I trashed their stuff, so of course I should apologize properly." Despite Harold's nice words, he would likely kick up a fuss once the money was transferred. This was clearly meant to humiliate him, so there was no way he would actually kneel there as a greeter. "Who owns this place?" At this point, Felix had to address the root of the problem. Logan looked Felix up and down with a disdainful look. "What? Trying to pull strings? Let me tell you something. The owner of this restaurant is way out of your league. Even Avesburgh's richest couldn

Good lord! Terrified, Logan swallowed hard. Felix must have had an insanely powerful background if even Zachary had to speak that way to him. "Y-Yes, Mr. Xanthos. I understand." Felix then said to Zachary, "You don't need to see me anymore. Let's end this here." After Felix hung up, Logan broke out in a cold sweat. He fell to his knees. "Mr. Zeller! I'm sorry for being so blind and offending you. Please spare me. I have parents and children to feed, I..." Felix waved him off. "I won't do anything to you. After all, you gave me a chance earlier. I'm taking him with me." As Harold followed Felix out, his face darkened. He could not believe that even the Xanthos family, the second richest family in Avesburgh, could be so afraid of Felix. How was this possible? "Harold, you can keep trying to annoy me like this, but remember this. Once I find your mom, the price you'll pay will only get steeper." After leaving those words behind, Felix set off. Harold punched the wall in fr

Hearing Vivian say the same thing, Felix thought he must have misheard. After all, Vivian was the deputy chief of the Earthern Hall in Dragon Alliance. How could she not get a ticket to this so-called Golden Prime Auction? "Felix, Golden Prime Auction tickets are never sold. They're distributed based on qualifications, and it's only held once a year. No one who gets a ticket ever resells it. Even among our Dragon Alliance chiefs, only a select few qualify as far as I know." Felix understood now. Though Vivian did not say it outright, it was clear that Kane, who had just become chief of Oasis Clinic, would not make the cut. "I see." On the other end, Vivian felt bad. Felix had only asked for one thing, yet she was powerless to help. The key was that Yale had taken the Dragon Ring now. If not, getting a ticket would have been a breeze. Without the Dragon Ring, only she and Kane would recognize Felix as the Dragon Lord. Others would not see him that way anymore. The Dragon Allia

Felix couldn't kill them? Felix almost thought Xena was joking. He now had almost perfected the Ethereal Constitution. Besides, he had Lumen and the Infinite Shield. He came back to show his skills. Yet now, they were telling him not to kill?"Although Dragonia doesn't have that much soul mastery, there are some for now. Additionally, after three years, several of our martial artists and top experts have the ability to kill the Malevolent Phantoms."At least there wouldn't be a problem dealing with the C-tier and B-tier Malevolent Phantoms. As for Billy, you're familiar with him. He can definitely kill the A-tier Malevolent Phantoms. But again, killing isn't allowed."Felix looked at her seriously. "Then, you'd better convince me."Xena was prepared for this answer. "The order is issued by the headquarters. The Malevolent Phantoms had been sent to gather intelligence. If you kill them—however you kill them—information about their death would be sent somewhere."As for where it'

Felix was silent after hearing the news. After a long pause, he asked, "Are they dead?"Xena knew that despite seeming calm, Felix was like a ticking time bomb—one that was about to blow."No, no! Not long after you left, they were captured by the Westerio Order."The Westerio Order! Felix clenched his fists. He didn't expect that the loose ends he left behind would hurt Melissa. However, it was too urgent of a mission, and he wasn't strong then. Of course, he didn't want to go after the Westerio Order, but he truly didn't expect they would act upon his absence."I'm sorry," Xena said.Felix waved his hand dismissively. "It has nothing to do with you. Melissa and Ronan must've been traveling around the world at the time. They weren't under your protection then."He thought Ronan was strong enough to deal with sneak attacks. Besides, the Westerio Order wouldn't have sent a particularly strong person for the first time. After the first attack, Melissa and Ronan would've definit

Meanwhile, Xena's eyes were full of complex emotions. "I heard you got married in Martial City." She had seen and heard the news but didn't want to ask. Yet, she still brought it up now."Yes, I'm married now," Felix replied. There was a pause after his reply before she asked again, "Did you get married to complete the mission, or—"Felix didn't avoid her gaze and said seriously, "I really wanted to get married. Nerissa is truly a good woman, and she's worthy of my time."With that answer, Xena turned away, looking around outside before composing herself. As for what she was thinking, even she wasn't clear on what she wanted. "The Malevolent Phantom I met in Martial City… I didn't notice it before. Is

Xena immediately shook her head. "I dare not say that I know him best, but he is a man who values loyalty and righteousness. If we hide it from him and he finds out through other people, I don't think we can bear the consequences later."A thick silence fell. After a few minutes, Lionel spoke up, "Just… Just do as is. Why don't you tell Felix about those two people?"An hour later, the great mountain in front of them disappeared. Instead, an endless field replaced it. The Warlords were unfazed, but the soldiers from headquarters were stunned. After all, this was like a scene out of a movie. It was incredible. When they got out of their shock, they realized a lot of people stood in the field—so many that they couldn't count. The leader was naturally Felix."Hello, everyone. Long time no see." Someone asked another question, "Then, may I ask why you can't send people from the capital to Martial City to teach us soul mastery?"This was also a burning question in many of the crowd's minds. Besides, wouldn't it be easier that way?"Because the soul mastery skill you're going to learn has a special trait called resonance. As Dragonians, we can share our soul power and increase the speed of your cultivation. How many people are there in Martial City compared to the capital?"There's more than a billion out there, you know? Of course, you can also practice back here. But by then, the Malevolent Phantoms would've entered Martial City in a matter of minutes! You wouldn't want to endanger your family and friends, right?"After answering a few more questions, the crowd finally agreed with him. "Alright. Now, head back to your family. You have a week to spend with your family and friends before I bring you all to the capital. Everything has been arranged there."You're all also

The question came from a bald man who was sitting cross-legged on a large rock. He looked as if he didn't take Felix, a Grandmaster, seriously at all. Everyone in the crowd, including Felix, turned to look at him."May I ask why?"The bald man sneered. "What do Malevolent Phantoms in the capital have to do with me?"Felix nodded, showing no anger. "Alright. Then, let me ask you. Is Martial City located in Dragonia?" The bald man, Christian Perez, seemed to know what Felix was about to say. He answered, "Yes.""So, the people in Martial City have Dragonian blood in their veins, right?""That's right."Christian had the unique energy of a Transcendent master. Just from his expression and eyes, it was clear he wasn't someone to be trifled with."If a nuclear bomb fell on Martial City, would you die?"Christian was about to answer but hesitated. "I… It's not likely, but there's a high probability I'll die."Nuclear bombs were terrifying, and Martial City wasn't completely out

At the foot of Trirock Mountain, a densely packed crowd gathered around. There was double the number of people gathered here compared to when Felix was refining pills during the assessment. Everyone was waiting and talking among themselves. They were all wondering what Felix was going to do. Logically, everyone couldn't be here at the same time. Yet, it happened. After Felix touched the statue, he could control the spell around Martial City. He could also feel the energies of the citizens and where they were. The three elders of the Celestial Hall had been asked to capture the hiding citizens. No one could escape."Being a Grandmaster is truly amazing! I was still caught despite hiding in a well-hidden place.""Ugh, don't even mention it! I buried myself underground, yet they dug me out!"Several martial artists were helpless as they chatted among themselves. They hadn't seen Felix but had already experienced the power of a Grandmaster. All of a sudden, a figure appeared above

Cordelia took out a small piece of paper from her pocket. A painting revealed itself as she unfolded the paper. The man in the painting was handsome and strong. His eyes, in particular, were authoritative. Even though it was a painting, no one dared to meet his gaze. For some reason, Felix felt like this man seemed familiar, but he couldn't put his finger on it. "Is this him?"Cordelia nodded. "Yes, this is a painting the royal family has kept for generations. Whether he has changed or aged at all isn't clear. We call him the Ancient Sage."The Ancient Sage? Felix questioned, "Is he stronger than a Grandmaster?" A mix of emotions flashed in Cordelia's eyes. "Most probably. After Yusri became Grandmaster, he claimed to be the strongest in the world. However, one day, he went to an unknown place for a few days."When he came back, he claimed that he was no longer the strongest in the world. The rest of us had guessed that he met the Ancient Sage."Felix thought about how Corde

Now that she was, the feeling was indescribable. After curtsying to their parents, the two of them entered the bridal chamber. When Felix lifted Nerissa's veil, he felt amazed despite having seen her many times."You're so beautiful, Nerissa."She was flushed red from shyness. Nerissa had imagined countless times what her fiancé would be like—but she never would've thought that he would be this excellent. Many years ago, Westley had told her that a person who held on to their principles and persistence would eventually be blessed.
