Chapter 6
Author: Dreamy Fire
Although Wendy and Vincent might not have understood the full extent of what was happening, the sight of the arrogant Xander sprawled on the floor in shock made them realize Felix was the real deal.

"Remove the needles in an hour. Your grandfather will wake up tomorrow fully recovered," Felix stated before turning to leave.

He was here solely to fulfill Gerald's duty concerning the Miracle Card.

"Pierce of Trinity… My God, I can't believe I witnessed the Pierce of Trinity."

Snapping back to reality, Vincent quickly nudged Wendy. "Go after him!"

Then, he helped Xander to his feet and asked, "What's the Pierce of Trinity?"

"It's one of the most miraculous acupuncture techniques in traditional medicine," Xander explained instinctively.

"The Pierce of Trinity can cure most ailments. Though it has been passed down, very few can perform it. I've practiced for five years and still haven't mastered it."

Reflecting on Bernard's condition and the placement of the three needles, Xander had no doubt it was the Pierce of Trinity.

"So… he is a highly skilled doctor?" Vincent asked.

Xander glared at him, suddenly remembering the importance of the situation.

"Of course! He's a real master healer. I'm not even close to his level! Remember. Remove the needles in exactly one hour, or suffer the consequences."

He left behind a final warning before rushing outside.

Vincent was elated. The effort of getting the Miracle Card hadn't been in vain. Bernard was saved.

In the spacious courtyard outside, Felix stood with a look of exasperation on his face.

"Hey, are you going to give me a ride or not?"

Kinsley Mansion was located in the suburbs of Avesburgh. He couldn't possibly walk home.

Marco was equally troubled. He bowed deeply to Felix and replied, "Sir, please don't make it hard for me. Ms. Wendy just called and told me not to leave without her permission."

Wendy happened to arrive just then. She bent over to catch her breath, having run over the whole way. Her modest neckline had slipped, revealing more than intended.

Nevertheless, Felix had spent the past three years with his six beautiful fellow apprentices and was entirely immune to such distractions.

"What do you want?" he asked.

Wendy answered in a hurry, "Thank you for saving my grandfather. I sincerely apologize for everything that happened this morning."

Felix frowned. "You've already apologized. Now, can you let him drive me back to the city?"

Wendy was genuinely puzzled. She was a successful CEO well-known for her beauty and had plenty of admirers. Yet, Felix, brimming with youthful vigor, seemed completely unaffected by her charms.

"Can I know your name?"

Felix started to grow impatient. He simply wished to leave and search for the rare herbs to cure Curtis.

"It's Felix Zeller."

At that moment, Xander rushed over with impressive speed. Those skilled in medicine often had various ways to maintain their health, and thus physical exertion was nothing to him.

"Sir! I was blind to your greatness and offended you. Please forgive me."

Felix's expression darkened. "I'll say this one last time. Can I leave now? As for you, get lost."

Xander fell silent, and Wendy uneasily handed Felix a card.

"Mr. Zeller, this is the Kinsley family's Golden Card. It lists our family's enterprises. With this card, you'll receive VIP treatment anywhere."

Felix took the card, not caring much about it. He just wanted to get out of here immediately.

Sensing his impatience, Wendy signaled Marco with a nod.

As the car door opened, Xander clenched his teeth and said, "Sir! There's a significant figure whose grandfather—"

Felix interrupted with a cold look. "What does that have to do with me?"

Xander helplessly watched Felix leave. He thought perhaps the latter might be able to cure Curtis.

Unfortunately, he had left a bad impression.

"Ms. Kinsley, could you give me his contact information?" Xander asked.

Wendy gave a rueful smile. "Dr. Fielding, you've seen how he is. We, too, initially underestimated him just as you did. I'm afraid I can't."

With a bitter chuckle, Xander also left. He would have to relay the news to Xena, hoping that her esteemed position might allow her to get Felix's contact information from the Kinsley family.

After all, finding the elusive miracle doctor seemed far less likely than reaching out to Felix.

On the way back, Felix felt his stomach growl and asked Marco, "Does the Kinsley family own any restaurants? If so, drop me off at one of them."

At the moment, he only had a little over 200 dollars in his Cash App and no other savings. Gerald had left him a card with a huge sum of money, but he couldn't use it until his and Xena's marriage contract was resolved.

As for the Dragon Ring from Eloise and its connection to the Dragon Alliance, he had no clue how to use it. Fortunately, Leslie had slipped her Supreme Black Card from Concord Bank into his pocket before he left, so money wasn't a concern.

But since he had taken Wendy's Golden Card, he figured he might as well make use of it.

Half an hour later, at one of Avesburgh's most luxurious restaurants, Luxe Dining, two attractive women walked hand in hand toward the entrance.

"The renovated underground parking lot is such a hassle. We have to park over there and walk."

"Oh, come on. You want to eat something nice but complain about everything. If you keep this up, I won't buy you this meal."

"Hey, don't go back on your promise."

One of them was Sasha, accompanied by her best friend, Ruth Lester. They had agreed the day before to dine at Luxe Dining.

Even for just the two of them, the meal would cost no less than 3,000 dollars, which spoke volumes about Luxe Dining's high-end prices.

"Wow! A brand new Rolls-Royce Phantom. I wonder which wealthy family owns it," Ruth exclaimed, her eyes sparkling.

Sasha glanced over, spotting the car parked not far away. A sense of foreboding washed over her. Sure enough, as the car door opened, the very person she despised stepped out.

It was Felix.

"He's quite a looker. Is he from out of town? I don't recognize him."

"Good thing I'm here, or you'd be fooled! That's Felix Zeller, the guy I told you about. He rented that car to show off," Sasha said with a sneer.

Ruth's smile vanished. "Ugh, I thought he was some rich guy and was about to flirt with him."

However, Sasha's eyes gleamed with a plan. Grabbing Ruth's hand, she led her toward Felix. "It's a perfect chance. I told my mom I'd make that jerk disappear within a week."

As Felix was about to enter Luxe Dining, he heard a sarcastic voice behind him.

"Well, if it isn't Felix! Are you planning to dine here? You know you can't get in without a reservation, right?"

Jamie was stunned, as were others in the lobby who heard the words "Supreme Black Card".Sasha, too, gaped at Felix in disbelief. The Supreme Black Card was a rare status symbol. Only about 30 people in the world possessed it, each with wealth beyond imagination. So, how could Felix possibly be a holder of the Supreme Black Card? That was just absurd!Swallowing hard, Jamie stammered. He knew that even the cardholders of the next tier down, the Diamond Card, would be greeted by the bank manager at the door.Handling a Supreme Black Card was a first for him, and Jamie was beyond nervous."P-Please verify your identity."Though the standard procedure was to immediately escort Supreme Black Card holders to the VIP room and notify the bank manager, Jamie was overwhelmed by the situation and couldn't think straight."Alright," Felix agreed, placing his right hand on the machine.Sasha's mind was racing as she watched. Wendy finally understood what Xander was referring to at that time. The big shot he had said needed help for her grandfather was none other than the war goddess, Xena Summers."Lady Summers, please don't misunderstand. I have no intention of keeping any help from you. However, I genuinely dare not proceed without permission from the master healer. I'm sure you know from Dr. Fielding what his temper is like."No interaction under this sky wasn't driven by interests. Xena didn't expect Wendy to explain herself so readily without excessive prodding."Just say the word, and I'll be at the Kinsley family's disposal from here on out."Wendy was shocked to the core. Such a promise was priceless beyond words. Standing before her was the first goddess of war in Dragonia who possessed supreme power. With her on their side, her family would definitely soar to great heights.Yet, as soon as she thought of Felix, a pang of guilt surged within her again."I'm so sorry, Lady Summers. This is not a m

Just then, Felix's phone rang. When Sasha and the others saw the caller ID, their fury was immediately extinguished.A phone call from Wendy Kinsley?Everyone knew of Wendy. She was the daughter of the richest man here, the drop-dead gorgeous CEO of Avesburgh, and the dream woman of countless men.Just this guy? Did he really have access to Wendy's mobile? That was beyond belief. At this point, Felix had already stepped aside to answer the call."Are you here?""In a few minutes, F-Felix. Since you're there, I've made a reservation at Zenith Pavilion. We can talk there. It's quite quiet. There's no need to change locations."Although she had Felix's permission to address him by his given name, Wendy still felt distinctly uncomfortable."Okay. Hugo's brows knitted together as his deep gaze landed on Ruth."Are you saying Felix—the guy freeloading at Sasha's—has Wendy's phone number?"Ruth shrank back in fear, while Sasha stepped in to smooth things over."Hugo, I'm afraid you've misunderstood. That guy just loves to show off. If you let me explain, I'm sure we can clear things up for you."After learning about Felix's actions at Concord Bank and his presence here, Hugo let out a disdainful sneer."That's more like it. If someone like that had access to Wendy's contact, even pigs could fly!"Ivan quickly chimed in, "You're right. It was just too much of a coincidence! We almost let that bastard fool us again."Hugo patted him on the shoulder. "How dare that piece of garbage that even Sasha despises pretend to have Wendy's number? The Miracle Card worked in a rather straightforward way. On its flip side were multiple layers of a special coating. Each time it was retrieved, a layer would be peeled off to reveal a new phone number. This would be Gerald's latest contact information. This system seemed to have no safeguards, yet it topped any high-tech security system. Only two people in the world could process the card for its next use—Felix and Gerald. They practiced the same unique technique, which was the only method to remove the coating.By now, the little boy had arrived at the entrance of Luxe Dining. He held the Miracle Card in his hands. The previous coating had already been peeled off by Felix, thus making it ready for use.The boy hastily stopped a heavily bejeweled woman and asked, "Excuse me, ma'am. Would you like to buy this?"Disgust instantly clouded her face."Go away! Where on earth did this little beggar come from? How useless can the security be at Luxe Dining? How could they let him linger

He was but a doctor—there were things people like him couldn't take part in. To his surprise, Ginny came to his room not long after. "Dr. Zeller, I heard you and Ryker were there when the man emerged from Desolate Lands. Is that true?"Felix nodded. "Yeah. Did you hear about it as well?"She was thrilled. "It's not just me. Absolutely everyone in Cloud City knows about it. Rumor has it that the Green King has contacted Flame Monarch, and the latter will be here tomorrow."Felix went along with her and asked, "Are you serious?""Yeah. The man is the first person to ever emerge from the night. Of course, Flame Monarch would be here. That was when Ryker, who had been uninterested initially, also narrowed his eyes and stared at the darkness outside the city."Dear God! I-Is that a person?" Just then, someone shouted on top of his lungs. The screaming wasn't necessary at all—everyone could see very clearly that someone had just walked out of the darkness. The person stumbled as he walked, and he was dressed in ragged clothes. He was injured, and a lot of people could clearly see bones where his wounds should've been.Felix was shocked to his core as well. Didn't they say that no one could survive a single night in Desolated Lands? So, why was someone emerging from the dark now?Although the person's grotesque wounds suggested that a monstrous beast attacked him, the possibility that a fellow human might've struck him wasn't completely ruled out. There might've been guards posted by the city

  • Chapter 1522

Felix nodded in understanding. In fact, he knew deep down why things went down the way they did. When he saw Wagner earlier today, he had a strong sense that Wagner had something to do with Justus showing up. With that said, it truly didn't matter. He wasn't in the mood to fool around with these insignificant punks. The more pressing matter was gathering intelligence, and he gave himself six months to do it. If Felix still couldn't find out how powerful Flame Monarch actually was and suss out all the hidden fighters serving the latter, he would have to take some actual action. He had to find another way to get to the truth—he couldn't afford to keep going like this. At that moment, some burly men entered the restaurant. Judging by their aura, they were all Innate Realm fighters. They immediately headed to the pretty lady, who was seated and eating, and surrounded her. The thing was, she was a member of The Recovery Association."You bitch. I can't believe you're sitting here

All of a sudden, he felt something and waved both his arms, his expression showing his fear."Eek! What is this?"Several minutes later, the darkness was still boundless, and the silver glow was still shining weakly. The only thing different about the place was that the voice was gone.…Back in Cloud City, the battle in the area was over. There was a time when he got onto a stage like this in Martial City, fighting for Nala's sake.Ryker Jamison nodded in response. "Exactly. All you have to do is sign the contract, and you'll have the whole arena to yourself and your opponent. "You can even choose a fight to the death if you want. Take a look over there. Two men have just went up there."Betting challenges here were completely legalized. So, anyone could take part in it. "Dr. Zeller, do you want to try your hand at a bet?" It was a good thing that Felix's worry didn't come true. After all, this was the Longstone residence. Of course, there would be powerful fighters here. At that moment, Gras showed up with two men outside the room and stopped someone who was moving extremely fast. "Greetings, Mr. Longstone." Surprisingly, it was a young man. He was handsome, wearing a blue attire, and exuded extraordinary elegance.Gras felt a headache coming on. He forced a smile and said, "Young man, can you not dash in here like an assassin next time? You'll invite unwanted troubles."The young man went by the name of Justus Goldstein. Naturally, he was one of the noblemen. Otherwise, Gras wouldn't have been this polite with him. There was no need to inform anyone before entering the Longstone residence, but it was a little unseemly to be dashing in the hallways."I heard that Ginny wasn't feeling well. I was worried sick about her, so I had been moving about rashly. Please don't hold it against me, Mr. Long

She was determined to soldier on despite what might happen. Also, Felix was a professional doctor and thus would surely not have any designs on her. After her maids retreated, Felix stepped forward. Ginny, who had turned her head to the side, not daring to see him, suddenly heard him say, "Can you lead me there?"Curious about what that meant, Ginny looked at him, only to be shocked. Felix, who had covered his eyes with a blindfold, was led forward by her maids, and his hands were brought to rest on a certain spot."Can I begin now, Ms. Longstone?" Felix asked. Warmth suffused Ginny's heart, and gratitude filled her gaze. "Certainly. Thank you, Dr. Zeller."The moment Felix began the massage, Ginny felt heat rise in her core, which made her admire Felix even more. I think I won't need to describe them; you already know."Ginny's mouth was wide with shock. She didn't expect things to be so serious. Practicing the martial arts was what she enjoyed most in this life. If she were to lose the ability to fight as a martial artist one day, it wouldn't be any different from death. "Can this be treated, Dr. Zeller?" This was the first time Ginny spoke to him with respect. She'd come to acknowledge his skill as a doctor."If it can be spotted, of course it can be treated," Felix said. Just as Ginny was about to say something, Felix continued, "However, I have detected symptoms of an underlying chronic ailment. She's fine now, but her symptoms will culminate after ten years if persistently ignored."A chronic ailment? Ginny frowned at Felix's serious expression. "Huh? A chronic illness? H-How can it be treated, Dr. Zeller?" Gras asked anxiously. Why would Ginny be afflicted with a chronic illness when she'd never fallen sick throughout the years?Only then did Ginny come back to her senses, more furious than before because this hack of a doctor had almost hoodwinked her. "Nonsense!" she snapped. "I've been practicing the martial arts since I was a kid, and I've never even fallen sick from minor illnesses! I'd never have a chronic illness!"Father," she continued. "This doctor is obviously as mediocre as those scammers from before. He's just here to cheat money out of us. Tell him to leave!"Felix frowned at the accusations. So this was why Ginny was so hostile
