Storm explained to his father exactly what happened last night, but tried his best to not mention anything about a system that only he could see. He told him how he took in poison in hopes of killing himself but was somehow cured and woke up with the ability, and his bracelet was also gone.

Storm also left out the quests stuff to make things not seem weirder than it already is.

After the whole narration, the room fell silent as grandpa Sikes just sat there in contemplation. Storm's words were too much for him to digest all at once.

After a few minutes of silence, he finally uttered, "The power must have been gotten from your father's bracelet. I always knew there was something more to that bracelet."

"Did he tell you anything about the bracelet while handing it over?" Storm questioned, hoping to learn more about the strange system.

"He only said you would understand when you've come of age." Grandpa Sikes responded. "You beat up some generals, they will send soldiers after you any moment from now."

"Soldiers?" Storm blurted out in shock.

"Yeah. It's the law. You will get taken to an academy where you would receive rigid training. And when you graduate after two years you will be forced to serve the country." Grandpa Sikes explained as he stood up and began to pack Storm's stuff into a bag. "Quick, get out of here before they find you!" He added.

"And where?" Storm inquired with a puzzled expression.

"Anywhere! Just go before the soldiers arrives!" Grandpa Sikes responded hastily as he handed the bag over to Storm.

"I can't leave, grandpa. There is nowhere to run to. Even if I flee they will surely find me because there are thousands of eagles keeping watch in the sky every second and they would find me instantly." Storm interjected.

"So what do you want to do? You prefer being taken to that academy?" Grandpa Sikes questioned with raised eyebrows.

"Yes! If I flee and get caught later, the punishment I'll get would be severe." Storm remarked. Storm's main reason for not wanting to flee was so he could go to the Mythical academy.

It has always been his dream to go to an academy like that and train on either swordsmanship or martial arts. But he knew Grandpa Sikes wouldn't agree to it, that's why he never brought it up.

But right now was a golden opportunity to attend this academy, and he couldn't afford to miss it.

"The academy isn't meant for humans like you, Storm." Grandpa Sikes bellowed with a worrisome look.

"I am a human now, remember?" Storm reminded him with a smirk. While the duo kept on arguing, several bulky men that were dressed in black uniform and two horns on their heads walked in.

"Mr. Storm Walker. By the law of the country's government, you shall be taken to the Mythical academy for two years training. Please go get all your valuable items because we are leaving immediately!" A man from the group declared in a deep voice.

Storm nodded his head in affirmation before bending low and hugging his dwarf grandfather.

"I am going to miss you, old man." Storm sounded while hugging him.

"I'll miss you too, Storm. Avoid trouble, and stay safe." Grandpa Sikes responded before pulling away.

Storm walked towards the bulky men who all had stern looks on their faces. One of them grabbed Storm's right arm and snapped his finger.

Snapping his finger, they all vanished instantly from the room.

One second after they vanished, Storm now found himself in a vast open white area that was filled with other teenagers like him, except the others weren't humans.

Storm glanced around the white area with a puzzled expression, but there was no door, window, all that could be seen was white walls.

"You look like a human." A feminine voice sounded from Storm's side, causing to shift his gaze.

Standing beside him were two girls around his age and they all had features of a human, except for the pointy ears and small pointy fangs in their mouth.

One of the girls had long blue hair that touched her waist, a body that was alluring to look at, and a very pretty face with pointy ears. While the second looked like a clone of the other, the difference was the hair colour. She had ginger hair, and a shy expression on her face.

Just by glancing at them, Storm could tell they were elves.

"Yes, I am a human." Storm responded.

"That's strange. What is a human doing in a place like this?" One of the elf questioned with a surprised expression.

"Let's just say I am serving a punishment." Storm responded instantly to make her quit bugging him, but she kept on talking.

"I see..you probably didn't pay tribute. I still don't understand why humans are made to pay tribute to life when we are all equals." She spoke further.

Storm shifted his gaze to the elf with a shocked expression. Apart from his grandfather, he has never seen any mythical creatures play nice with him.

"My name is Lucy by the way..and this is my sister, Tana. She doesn't speak too much, don't mind her." Lucy introduced me with a smile.

"Storm. Storm Walker." Storm introduced as he shook hands with Lucy. The moment Storm's palm touched Lucy's, a window screen materialised in his line of sight.

[DO YOU WISH TO EXTRACT THE ELF'S SKILL?]

[YES] [NO]

Storm glanced at the notification in bewilderment, and when they broke the handshake, the notification vanished.

'What does it mean by extracting the skill?' Storm pondered internally with looks of contemplation.

"New arrivals should follow the staffs to the test hall to take their ranking test!" A mechanical voice was heard in the vast white environment. Seconds after the voice was heard, a door opened up front and two men clad in black attire walked in.

"Come with us!" They declared.

The transformation was so astonishing that it left him speechless, his mind raced as he stared at Storm. How was this possible? He should be dead?
