Storm explained to his father exactly what happened last night, but tried his best to not mention anything about a system that only he could see. He told him how he took in poison in hopes of killing himself but was somehow cured and woke up with the ability, and his bracelet was also gone.
Storm also left out the quests stuff to make things not seem weirder than it already is.
After the whole narration, the room fell silent as grandpa Sikes just sat there in contemplation. Storm's words were too much for him to digest all at once.
After a few minutes of silence, he finally uttered, "The power must have been gotten from your father's bracelet. I always knew there was something more to that bracelet."
"Did he tell you anything about the bracelet while handing it over?" Storm questioned, hoping to learn more about the strange system.
"He only said you would understand when you've come of age." Grandpa Sikes responded. "You beat up some generals, they will send soldiers after you any moment from now."
"Soldiers?" Storm blurted out in shock.
"Yeah. It's the law. You will get taken to an academy where you would receive rigid training. And when you graduate after two years you will be forced to serve the country." Grandpa Sikes explained as he stood up and began to pack Storm's stuff into a bag. "Quick, get out of here before they find you!" He added.
"And where?" Storm inquired with a puzzled expression.
"Anywhere! Just go before the soldiers arrives!" Grandpa Sikes responded hastily as he handed the bag over to Storm.
"I can't leave, grandpa. There is nowhere to run to. Even if I flee they will surely find me because there are thousands of eagles keeping watch in the sky every second and they would find me instantly." Storm interjected.
"So what do you want to do? You prefer being taken to that academy?" Grandpa Sikes questioned with raised eyebrows.
"Yes! If I flee and get caught later, the punishment I'll get would be severe." Storm remarked. Storm's main reason for not wanting to flee was so he could go to the Mythical academy.
It has always been his dream to go to an academy like that and train on either swordsmanship or martial arts. But he knew Grandpa Sikes wouldn't agree to it, that's why he never brought it up.
But right now was a golden opportunity to attend this academy, and he couldn't afford to miss it.
"The academy isn't meant for humans like you, Storm." Grandpa Sikes bellowed with a worrisome look.
"I am a human now, remember?" Storm reminded him with a smirk. While the duo kept on arguing, several bulky men that were dressed in black uniform and two horns on their heads walked in.
"Mr. Storm Walker. By the law of the country's government, you shall be taken to the Mythical academy for two years training. Please go get all your valuable items because we are leaving immediately!" A man from the group declared in a deep voice.
Storm nodded his head in affirmation before bending low and hugging his dwarf grandfather.
"I am going to miss you, old man." Storm sounded while hugging him.
"I'll miss you too, Storm. Avoid trouble, and stay safe." Grandpa Sikes responded before pulling away.
Storm walked towards the bulky men who all had stern looks on their faces. One of them grabbed Storm's right arm and snapped his finger.
Snapping his finger, they all vanished instantly from the room.

One second after they vanished, Storm now found himself in a vast open white area that was filled with other teenagers like him, except the others weren't humans.
Storm glanced around the white area with a puzzled expression, but there was no door, window, all that could be seen was white walls.
"You look like a human." A feminine voice sounded from Storm's side, causing to shift his gaze.
Standing beside him were two girls around his age and they all had features of a human, except for the pointy ears and small pointy fangs in their mouth.
One of the girls had long blue hair that touched her waist, a body that was alluring to look at, and a very pretty face with pointy ears. While the second looked like a clone of the other, the difference was the hair colour. She had ginger hair, and a shy expression on her face.
Just by glancing at them, Storm could tell they were elves.
"Yes, I am a human." Storm responded.
"That's strange. What is a human doing in a place like this?" One of the elf questioned with a surprised expression.
"Let's just say I am serving a punishment." Storm responded instantly to make her quit bugging him, but she kept on talking.
"I see..you probably didn't pay tribute. I still don't understand why humans are made to pay tribute to life when we are all equals." She spoke further.
Storm shifted his gaze to the elf with a shocked expression. Apart from his grandfather, he has never seen any mythical creatures play nice with him.
"My name is Lucy by the way..and this is my sister, Tana. She doesn't speak too much, don't mind her." Lucy introduced me with a smile.
"Storm. Storm Walker." Storm introduced as he shook hands with Lucy. The moment Storm's palm touched Lucy's, a window screen materialised in his line of sight.
[DO YOU WISH TO EXTRACT THE ELF'S SKILL?]
[YES] [NO]
Storm glanced at the notification in bewilderment, and when they broke the handshake, the notification vanished.
'What does it mean by extracting the skill?' Storm pondered internally with looks of contemplation.
"New arrivals should follow the staffs to the test hall to take their ranking test!" A mechanical voice was heard in the vast white environment. Seconds after the voice was heard, a door opened up front and two men clad in black attire walked in.
"Come with us!" They declared.
The students were led outside the white area and were taken to a whole new location. It was a vast open area, a raised platform could be seen in the middle, and three staff could be seen waiting a few distant away."Please come forth to begin the ranking test!" A female staff ordered in an audible tone.A boy amongst the group wasted no time in mounting the raised platform where a round object could be seen floating a few metres in the air. "The first test is a strength test. Please punch the ball with everything you've got!" The female staff informed me.The boy took a deep breath in as he clenched his fist, pulled his arm backwards, and swung it forth with all his might.BAM!A loud noise reverberated throughout the area as the boy's fist connected to the ball, and what looked like a number began to read until it finally stopped at 87.The staff recorded the number in their register as they proceeded to the next which was target practice. Six objects appeared metres away from wher
The room door opened and another student walked in. He had jet black hair and a muscular build. Glancing at him, Storm recognised him as the guy who took the test first. Storm shifted his gaze to the boy's wrist and spotted the letter "A" on it. It was expected, the boy was exceptional during the test. The boy ignored Storm like he wasn't there at all and made his way towards the bed to unpack his bag. Storm wasn't bothered by the guy's attitude as he also went to his bed and laid down. There was something he has been meaning to check for a while now.[YOU HAVE SOME UNREAD NOTIFICATIONS.]Storm called out the system after laying down on his bed. He got the notification after defeating the Orcs but hasn't had time to click on it.'I wonder what it is.' Storm pondered internally as he clicked on it out of curiousity. The screen infront of him now morphed to a whole new one.[YOUR REWARD FOR HIDDEN QUEST HAS ARRIVED]'Hidden quest?' Storm mused with his fingers on his chin in contemplati
Storm didn't respond for a while as he just stood there with his head facing the floor. Images of how Flare burnt down grandpa Sikes's only source of income to the ground came flooding his mind and made his blood boil in anger."Hey, i am talking to you, trash! What are you doing in a place like this?" Flare repeated his question while tightening his grip. After few seconds of staying mute, Storm finally spoke."You only have three seconds to get your hand off me." Storm uttered in a deep and menancing tone.Hearing the words of Storm, Flare and other students in the cafeteria broke out in serious laughter."Can you all believe this guy, hahah..." Flare paused in his laughter as he felt Storm grab his arm and his bones began to twist.'What's with his strength?' Flare pondered internally as Storm twisted his arm before letting go and walked away. While Storm walked away, Flare pulled out a dagger and stabbed Storm from behind, causing him to grunt in serious pain and fall down to his
"He's dead!" Storm turned to the shadow. "You! You've gone too far..."From the shape of the shadow, Storm recognised the person as the kid who ignored him from their dorm room. "You..." "There's no rules stating we're not allowed to harm or kill other students, I'm just showing you... This academy... This world, do not take it lightly. Also, you're welcome." With that, the figure returned to his shadow dissappearing from the cafeteria. And just like that, the academy's officials picked up the dead body and the rest of the students resumed their daily activities like nothing happened. Storm didn't know how to feel. He hated Flare for bullying him so much but it wasn't enough to want him dead. "If I was stronger than I am now, I could have been fast enough to stop the bastard!" The next day..."Did you hear?"Storm was walking through the hallways when he overhear some of the students talking."The Valiant Games will be starting soon.""It's starting much earlier." The Valiant

After the arena was repaired, the announcer was ready to call out the next combatants... "And without further ado, our next fighters are... The speed demon of the infamous Slasher team, Chase!" The crowd cheered as Chase Race through the audience section and onto the arena in a split second. "It's chase!" "Look over there!" Kaze points as they looked over at the row that chase ran through. He grinned as he waves his hand excitedly over the bunch that they spotted. Chase is a member of Bae's Team. They became acquainted with team Tempest and developed a friendly rivalry during the weaks before the tournament. A woman carrying Giant Scissors around her waves back and sends a flying kiss ay the System Bearer much to Tana's dismay. This woman was none other than the leader of the Slasher team. Besides her were her team mates who waved to the Tempest team as well. "Sup Bae." "And his opponent, Rip!" A man stood up from the crowd and made his way to the arena. He had dark skin an
Team Slasher were gathered at the infirmary looking over Chase. Suddenly, they here a knock and Storm walked inside. "Storm!?" "You guys looked surprised to see me." The System Bearer looked over to see the unconscious Chase. "How's he holding up?" "Doc says he'll be fine as soon as he recovers his mana." "Or..." Storm moved forward and places his hand on the forehead of the speedster. A faint glow appeared and it wasn't long that Chase jolts up gasping for air. "Chase!" "Huh? What's going on?" The speedster took a minute to process the events that transpired. A look of disappointment crossed his face."That's right, I lost, miserably." "How?" Jake asks Storm. "I shared my mana with him." Storm replied with a smile."You what!?" The Slasher all gasped."What? You guys seemed worried hihi." "We know that but we all contemplated on that and decided Chase won't want us to burn away our mana before our matches." Lana States. "Yeah, and he wasn't really in any danger," Falkner
"Ladies and Gentlemen! We are down to our last two fights of the first round." The colosseum echoed with the ever vibrant cheers of the crowd. They had witnessed several heated battles and while some were one-sided and lacked any thrill, they were wowed by the fiery exchange between all the participants. "This next fight is going to give you the chills, I can guarantee that! Welcome, the Ice Mage, Farou!" A cloak-wearing man descended to the arena. His cloak was pure white and had a picture of a snowflake in the middle. "His opponent, The team leader of the winner of the very first match up today, he's human, he's strong... Please welcome - Storm Walker!" The crowd's cheers were uncontrollable. Storm rises from his seat as everyone's attention is aimed at him."That's him alright." "The one in those videos." "His battle with commander Kaze was fire!" The crowd seemed to unify as they cheered a single word... "Tempest!" "Tempest!""Tempest!" "Tempest!""Well, I'm off."Storm
