Rosaline Limbung stood swaying in the quiet living room, morning light streaming through the large window, illuminating her pale face. Her mind spun, as if everything her daughter had just revealed was nothing more than a nightmare. The world around her felt like it was shaking, and her body could barely bear the weight of her emotions.

Jonas quickly stepped toward his mother. His strong hand wrapped around Rosaline’s arm, preventing her from falling. “Mom, calm down,” he said, trying to stabilize her as she appeared to be losing control.

Vivian stood silently. She didn’t understand why her mother was so angry with her. “I lost my virginity to Gaston; you shouldn’t be mad.”

Rosaline stared at her daughter with eyes full of hatred and disbelief. “You’re insane!” she shouted, her voice echoing in the silent room. “How could you be with this idiot?!” She pointed at Gaston with disdain.

Gaston, with his innocent demeanor, said, “Don’t be harsh on my Vivi!” His voice was calm, as if this tense situation was just another ordinary day for him.

Jonas, furious, couldn’t hold himself back. He stepped forward, his intentions clear, wanting to slap Gaston. But as his hand swung, Gaston swiftly caught Jonas’s wrist, gripping it tightly and preventing him from moving.

Jonas was taken aback, overwhelmed by Gaston’s unexpected strength. He felt humiliated, not only because his attempt had failed but also because he had been bested by the very man he considered a fool.

“Listen closely, this time I’ll let you go!” Jonas reasoned, trying to divert attention from his embarrassment. But inside, he felt cornered, pressured by a situation he couldn’t control.

Meanwhile, Gaston secretly smirked, relishing the moment as Jonas found himself powerless.

“You’re disgusting!” Jonas turned, hurling insults at Vivian with venom in his tone.

Vivian didn’t care, even as they cornered her. “You’re the weird ones!” she shouted, her voice trembling between anger and sadness. “I made love to my husband; why do you look at me like I’m a whore?”

Gaston felt pleased that his wife wasn’t just being trampled by her family. If only he were sure that his current strength wouldn’t fade and turn him back into his former self, he would have acted directly against them.

The situation intensified. Jonas pulled Rosaline away. “Come on, Mom, we’re leaving,” he said.

Rosaline followed Jonas, completely appalled by Vivian’s behavior this time.

Inside the car, Rosaline was still fuming. “How could she do this to me?!” she screamed, her voice filling the cramped space of the vehicle.

Jonas, sitting in the driver’s seat, tried to think clearly. “Mom, calm down. We need to find another way to deal with this.”

Jonas suddenly had an idea pop into his head. “How about we set a trap for Vivian?” he suggested, his tone calculating.

“A trap for her?”

Jonas then laid out a plan that his mother could use to make Vivian obey.

Rosaline’s eyes sparkled with cunning intelligence as she heard the suggestion. “That’s a great idea,” she said with a sinister smile. “We’ll show her who’s in charge here.”

Gaston surveyed the messy living room, a remnant of the tension that had just unfolded. Cushions lay scattered on the floor, and some decorative items had fallen off the table. He began tidying up the house after Rosaline and Jonas had left.

Vivian sat on the sofa, letting out a sigh. “Gaston, what are you doing?”

“I’m cleaning up everything.”

“You don’t need to do that. Why not just watch TV?” she asked softly, hoping to distract Gaston from the exhausting housework.

“I can’t, Vivi. I want to tidy up,” Gaston replied, full of enthusiasm. He picked up a cushion and placed it back in its spot. He knew his wife was stressed from the behavior of her brother and mother, and maybe this little help could ease the pressure Vivian was feeling.

Vivian watched him with fatigue. She surrendered and let Gaston continue his work. “Alright, but don’t break anything,” she said, offering a small smile.

After a while, Gaston finished his task. Wiping the sweat from his brow, he turned to Vivian. “Vivi, can I go out for a bit?”

“Where are you going?”

“I just want to take a walk. I’m tired of being cooped up at home,” he said like a child eager to go out and play.

Vivian felt a bit anxious about her husband. “Don’t get lost; I don’t want to have to look for you.”

Gaston smiled. “Don’t worry, Vivi. I know the way.” He stepped outside, feeling the fresh air touch his face. After closing the door, he stretched his muscles, relishing the newfound freedom as if he had just discovered it.

Finally, he didn’t have to pretend to be an idiot anymore. A sense of excitement surged within him, and he enjoyed every step he took.

As he reveled in his newfound freedom, Gaston’s ears caught a faint whimpering sound in the distance. At first, he wanted to ignore it and continue his escape, but the sound returned—melancholic and full of suffering.

Something was wrong. The sound grew clearer, almost calling him to investigate. With a surge of curiosity, he began searching for the source of the noise. He ran quickly down the narrow street at the end of the alley.

When he reached the end of the alley, a horrifying sight greeted him. A man lay on the ground, surrounded and beaten by several brutal-looking individuals. The man appeared to be dying, his face covered in blood and his body limp.

Gaston couldn’t just stand by and watch. Gathering all his courage, he shouted, “Stop! What are you doing?!” His voice echoed, full of authority.

This was truly an unfair fight. Seriously, six against one?

The attackers turned in shock, glaring at Gaston with piercing looks. They seemed unaffected by his plea, as if they were just waiting for an opportunity to continue their brutal assault.

“Who are you? How dare you interrupt us!”
