Chapter Forty-Six

While everyone was staring at Milton Jackson disdainfully, Milton was waiting patiently for Michelle’s next move. Natalie was still rubbing her face. The slap must have stunk.

Staring at his watch, Michelle noticed. “Sir.” She called and motioned Milton and the guys to follow her to the interview room.

Finding no seats in front of the interview room, the interested interns stared at Michelle with hatred. How dare she play them like that?

One guy moved closer to Milton and asked, “do you know someone here too?”

“Yes. The CEO.” Milton answered.

“Sir,” Michelle called and held the door open. Natalie pushed past her to enter but Michelle shoved her back. “The boss enters first. Do you need another slap, Natanye?”

“It is Natalie.” She thought while rolling her eyes. She would have replied but couldn’t. Not when the slap stink was still there.

“Michelle. Let them in first.” Milton said.

“Okay, sir.” Michelle smiled.
