Chapter Ninety-Six

Natalie couldn’t miss the party even if her job was on the line. She hurriedly assembled the papers she was working on and shoved them to the guy who she hasn’t cared to catch his name.

Her heels echoed throughout the office as she walked to Meehan’s office. She already had a perfect plan. A perfect lie. And since she was a pathological liar, it wasn’t going to take long.

Knock! Knock!

“Come in,” Meehan called.

The smile dropped when he saw who it was. Since they both began working here, he could count on one hand how many times their conversation has ended on a good note. Whilst Meehan wanted Natalie to let go of her attitude, Natalie thought Meehan was a snob.

“Sir, I would like to leave today early. I have done my assignment and it would be submitted alongside the others at the end of the business hours. Thank you for understanding.” Natalie spoke elegantly and someone might think she was being respectful.

She was being rude as she turned around and walked out of the office.
