Chapter Seventeen

A video was playing in front. It was Milton. In the same outfit. Today. Scrolling on his phone as he wrote in the CAT sheet. He looked at his phone and then at the screen. How did that happen?

Milton was confused. He didn’t recall using his phone during the exam. Hell, he hasn’t used it in days. With no friends and a lover, the phone has been the last thing on his mind. So, how did this happen? Why was he there? The video humiliating him as if he hadn’t been humiliated enough?

From Rickie in the morning and now this, Milton knew whoever had his cards of life was drunk and half asleep while playing.

The students streamed in and began throwing their pens at him, claiming it was time he paid for his sins. He looked back and for the first time, he wanted Troy and Gio to rush in and take him away.

Too bad, they were nowhere to be found, and so were Dominic and Findley.

Milton yelled, “I did not cheat. I don’t cheat.”
