Chapter Thirty

“Solana, help me out, will you?” Milton asked, the neediness in his tone clear.

Solana huffed, and pushed Meehan with her shoulder, “you must be insane.” Meehan said and returned to drink his cold latte. He swallowed with disgust, “now it has become cold. Damn it. You do your work and leave us be in peace.”

Milton’s nose flared in anger. “The task was meant for three…”

He didn’t get to finish as Solana pushed the cooperate card to him and said, “bring us another latte. This is cold.”

“It was supposed to be cold. That is why you said, iced latte. Didn’t you?” Milton fired.

“Then the ice has melted,” Meehan said proudly, as if he has spoken a cure medicine’s name.

Milton slapped the papers on the round table angrily and tapped Solana, “why don’t you go bring them yourself, I am…”

Before he finished the sentence, Dominic barged through the boardroom. “Excuse me, you are needed by the manager.”

“That was close.” Milton thought and followed Dominic outside.

Outside, he inhaled the breeze.
