Mollie’s simple words made the situation a little too awkward for both Amelie and Ulmer. If they hadn’t known each other in the past, Mollie’s words wouldn’t have affected them much, but now, they were definitely embarrassed.

“What I said is something that’s in my mind. It’s not a big deal,” Mollie backed herself. “Amelie seems like a good girl. And I want a good girl like her for you. It’s hard to find a decent girl these days. Even the one in our family is not bright. She is always scheming like her mother.”

“Don’t worry. I already have one in my life,” Ulmer replied.
