In Stormville.

Ulmer’s clone took multiple days to get here because of the extremely tight security in the form of flying robots that were guarding the entrance. On top of that, there was a barrier that did not allow him to use his ability to just open a portal inside the region.

Stormsville was said to be much more guarded than even the capital city because not only the first daughter of the emperor lived there, but also the ancient device that concealed the entire Syslon from the outside world.

Ulmer was not here for that device but something else entirely.

It was the stone of the magic staff that the emperor’s daughter had in possession.

Ulmer’s clone had to wait until midnight to sneak into her room.

The first daughter of the emperor was a big woman who was snoring loud enough to scare any man into running away from her.

Her staff was right next to her bed.

“So that’s the storm stone you were talking about…” Ulmer uttered.

[Yeah. It has the power to control weather at will.] Dove

Two days later. It took two entire days for Ulmer’s clones to fully absorb the powers and transfer it to the real Ulmer. His clones had been hiding underground where nobody could reach, so no one were able to find his clones.Even though he wanted to achieve some things with the clones, he had to make them disappear as it was already proving quite dangerous to have them continue to roam throughout the city. After the clones perished, Ulmer’s level added one more, and he reached level 92.Despite succeeding in obtaining powers and levels, Ulmer didn’t look that happy at all.[Is something bothering you?] Dove asked.“Yeah, the inequality that’s plaguing this whole nation…” Ulmer said. “It is very upsetting.”He had seen people and even animals starving in Frostlands. In Stormville, he had seen the wealthy and the powerful abuse those weaker than them.In the vulcan district, doctors demanded absurdly high amounts of money for even simple treatments. And nobody could raise their fingers

Ulmer walked out of his room and saw Suki and her sister talking with each other. They were not having a random chat, but Suki was questioning her with something rather interesting.“I don’t get it, sis,” Suki said. “Why is patriarchy more important than matriarchy? Can’t women get stronger than men?”“This is just the way it has been since God put man as the head of the woman in the garden of Eden,” Ayana replied.“But why? Why can’t the woman be the head of the man?” Suki asked.Ayana smiled because she remembered asking her mother a similar question when she was young. As a child, she had asked many stupid questions, but that was part of growing up as well.“Let me tell you this clearly, Suki,” Ayana said. “You think being the head of the family is easy? After marriage, a woman is only expected to do housework, but the man is expected to provide for her for everything. With power, responsibility will also fall on your shoulder. Personally, I don’t really care if the man or the woma

The next morning.Robin woke up and heard noises from the kitchen. “Is it a cat?” she hurried into the kitchen, only to see Ulmer cooking.“S-Son, why are you cooking?” she tried to grab the ladle, but he didn’t let her.“I’m going to take the SAC exam,” Ulmer said. “I won’t be able to be with you guys for a little, so I want to contribute something before I leave.”After he said those words, Robin couldn’t say anything to get him out of the kitchen.Ulmer took it upon himself to arrange all the dishes on the mat. Robin woke everyone up so that they’d eat the food while it’s still warm. After hearing that Ulmer cooked breakfast, everyone actively brushed their teeth and hurried over.Ayana thought she would be the first to eat, but Suki was already there, sitting next to Ulmer by the time she arrived there.“Hey, did you even brush your teeth?” Ayana asked her.“Eeeee,” Suki grinned and showed her teeth.“Don’t smile! Answer my question!” Ayana said.“You can sit here,” Ulmer tapped t

Later that night.Ulmer was lying down on the bed. “Tomorrow, I’ll be leaving this home. I don’t know how many days I’ll be gone, and it’s making me anxious.”“I’d be more worried if you’re not anxious,” Ayana said. She was sitting on the bed and was massaging his legs. Ulmer’s legs were a little bit hairy, and she liked that. She pulled the hair every now and then to get that jerking reaction from him, and it made her smile. “I know you’re strong, but the capital district is full of them. The average level of people living there is over thirty! If you’re not careful, you could get ganged up and robbed or defeated.”“You think I’d get robbed in the capital?” Ulmer asked. “Serious punishment is given to those who rob, right?’“Yeah, how are you going to catch the robber or prove that they robbed you?” Ayana asked him back. “The nobles control the surveillance in the capital district, so they’ll show only what they want and hide everything else. Though I could have gone to the capital i

The next morning.Ulmer’s family gave him a send off.Suki was crying, telling him to not go. He told her he’d come back and bring her a lot of gifts. Kale was silent and stood in the back.Ulmer waved him goodbye before walking out through the main gate. Dustin and Robin also waved at him.Ayana accompanied him outside. She gave him a long hug and said, “Be careful. I’ll be waiting for you.”“Don’t worry, Ayana. I’m not going to die but to ride all the storms that come my way,” Ulmer told her.And then Ulmer left in a flying car that was personally sent from SAC company, and it had its logo on it.Suki was still shedding tears as she entered the house.“He’s going to come back soon, Suki,” Robin told her. “Don’t cry.”Suki still looked sad, and she ran into Ayana’s room. However, to her utter shock, Ulmer was sitting on the bed.“Brother!” Suki’s face glowed. “You returned already?”“Haha,” Ulmer laughed. “No, I’m Ulmer’s clone.”“C-Clone?” Suki found it hard to believe, but then he

One of the guards took Ulmer into the building.Felix was still standing outside. A few sackers came to talk to him. “Is he the Knight Beater?”“What an exaggerating title to give to such a youngster.”“Is he worth the talk, or is he just a balloon with volatile gas inside?”Felix snorted a little. “That guy… He’s no joke. I’ve met thousands of strong ones over the years, but only a handful of those were utterly unaffected by my poison. We must make him a sacker.”The other sackers were astonished by Felix’s words. Even though Felix was in level sixties, most knights in level eighties would not mess with him because of his poison ability. And Felix would even look down on the knights. So, hearing such praise coming from Felix was a rare thing.SAC exam had many categories. Working jobs including those sitting behind the desk and taking care of administrative work, or going out to the field and keeping peace and order. Or policing and specifically catching criminals or those who would

The chairman of SAC lived on the top floor of the tower inside the fortress. This tower did not have regular cylindrical structure but had many extensions out of it on different floors, giving it the look of a tree instead. The colosseum where Ulmer fought Speedster was on the fifth floor.Currently, Ulmer was taken to the 100th floor which was in the clouds. As they waited outside the chairman’s room, Ulmer looked outside through the glass window. The view from there was magnificent. He could see that many flying beasts were being used for travel. The fountains were also hundreds of feet high with fish dancing about.Ulmer’s heart fluttered. How wonderful would it be to tour this place with Ayana and her family, he thought. As he waited outside, the sackers around him were all talking about the thefts that happened in different parts of the city. They were talking about things that Ulmer didn’t take away, too.Because of these recent incidents, many sackers were dispatched to find th

Ulmer walked out of the chairman’s room.Hessia saw that he did not have a badge. “You were not chosen?” She looked a bit confused.“Yeah, your chairman didn’t want me to be part of SAC,” Ulmer said before walking away.(He looks totally fine. It doesn’t look like his system was taken away from him.) Hessia quickly entered the chairman’s room. “Why didn’t you choose him? He’s definitely going to become one of the top sackers in the country.”“He wouldn’t be staying in this city for long, so he’s not fit to be part of our organization,” Oscar replied.“Then why didn’t you take his system?” Hessia couldn’t help but ask.“I tried, but I couldn’t,” Oscar replied.Hessia blinked a few times. “Huh? What does that even mean? Stop joking.”Oscar smiled. “Arrange a meeting with the emperor.”Hessia’s eyes slightly widened because this meant that Oscar wasn’t lying.“We have a mighty one walking in our midst,” Oscar added. “Whether it is going to be a blessing or will become a disaster…I will k

“She’s going to live,” the royal healer, Irvi, an old lady with poisonous pimples all over her face, said. She was 120 years old but was still able to stand straight. However, her voice was not steady. She was observing Minerva’s pulse.Minerva was lying on the bed in the medical chambers not far from the royal palace.“However, her system has integrated with her body, so we can’t take it out,” Irvi said. “If we do it right now, she will die.”“Is it not possible to separate the system without killing her?” Ulmer asked.“It is, but that’s only possible when she overcomes the system?” Irvi responded. “The chances of that ever happening are slim.”Ulmer frowned but then said, “Do what you can to heal her.”“I will. That’s my job, after all,” Irvi said. “No matter how wicked a person may be, if they come to my doorstep, I will not turn my back toward them.”Ulmer slightly bowed his head to her and walked out onto the balcony of that building, where Minerva’s dad, Neodus was present.“I t
