The chairman of SAC lived on the top floor of the tower inside the fortress. This tower did not have regular cylindrical structure but had many extensions out of it on different floors, giving it the look of a tree instead.

The colosseum where Ulmer fought Speedster was on the fifth floor.

Currently, Ulmer was taken to the 100th floor which was in the clouds.

As they waited outside the chairman’s room, Ulmer looked outside through the glass window. The view from there was magnificent.

He could see that many flying beasts were being used for travel. The fountains were also hundreds of feet high with fish dancing about.

Ulmer’s heart fluttered. How wonderful would it be to tour this place with Ayana and her family, he thought.

As he waited outside, the sackers around him were all talking about the thefts that happened in different parts of the city. They were talking about things that Ulmer didn’t take away, too.

Because of these recent incidents, many sackers were dispatched to find th

Ulmer walked out of the chairman’s room.Hessia saw that he did not have a badge. “You were not chosen?” She looked a bit confused.“Yeah, your chairman didn’t want me to be part of SAC,” Ulmer said before walking away.(He looks totally fine. It doesn’t look like his system was taken away from him.) Hessia quickly entered the chairman’s room. “Why didn’t you choose him? He’s definitely going to become one of the top sackers in the country.”“He wouldn’t be staying in this city for long, so he’s not fit to be part of our organization,” Oscar replied.“Then why didn’t you take his system?” Hessia couldn’t help but ask.“I tried, but I couldn’t,” Oscar replied.Hessia blinked a few times. “Huh? What does that even mean? Stop joking.”Oscar smiled. “Arrange a meeting with the emperor.”Hessia’s eyes slightly widened because this meant that Oscar wasn’t lying.“We have a mighty one walking in our midst,” Oscar added. “Whether it is going to be a blessing or will become a disaster…I will k

“The capital of the city…” Ulmer was looking around while traveling on a flying lizardfish that was gelding through the sky right now. “It certainly is very beautiful, clean, and peaceful, but the hearts of the people are not as attractive. Compared to them, the people living outside are living more freely and positively.”Ulmer then told the driver to slow down. From hundreds of meters high, he looked down and observed the old lady he had given the money to. She stopped by at her son’s house and showed him the money. He took the money from her, but waved his hand away, telling her to leave. She asked him to let him into the house, but he kicked her away.Ulmer’s gut twisted upon watching that. “He looks like a wealthy person. Yet, how can he treat his own mother like that? Aren’t the laws here strict? Why isn’t he punished for not taking care of his own mother?”The driver smiled. “The laws sure are strict, but they will only apply to the poor. The rich folks always get away with wha

“I like that hat,” just then, Miranne pointed at the hat Ulmer was holding. The female worker immediately scuttled over to Ulmer and snatched the hat from his hands. “This is already sold.”“What?” Ulmer looked baffled as she went and gave the hat to Mirianne.“I’ll give this to one of the servants in my estate,” Miranne said aloud so that Ulmer would be able to hear.Did she purposely take the hat to annoy him? Ulmer wondered, but he didn’t think too much about it and looked for other things that he could buy.He picked up a diamond bracelet. “I’ll take this,” he said.“I will take that bracelet, too,” Mirianne said.Ulmer frowned. “Is there something wrong with you?”His words startled the female worker. “How dare you question a noble!” she barked at Ulmer. “Get out of the store, or I’ll call a sacker!”Ulmer tossed the diamond bracelet to the female worker. “I’ll be leaving, so have fun buying everything,” he told Mirianne.“It was your fault to begin with,” Miranne replied. “When

Ulmer was looking for a nice restaurant.Though he bought some corn, they didn’t taste as good as the ones he had eaten in Oscar’s room.He was sniffing at various restaurants, but their smells weren’t impressive. As he kept walking, his nose felt a smell that was particularly good. He traced the smell and ended up arriving at a weightlifting competition. The challenge was simple. People had to lift the thick crystal boulder placed in the center. The one who were to lift it would get to eat some of the skyfish soup.Till now, dozens of bodybuilders tried it but failed. And then a knight entered the scene. He was wearing only simple armor and shorts.“It’s Barbell Knight!”“The monstrous knight who can lift heavy weights with ease!”“His level is in the seventies, isn’t it?”“He can definitely win this.”As people expected, Barbell Knight was able to lift the boulder with great effort. The problem wasn’t just the weight of the boulder but also the fact that the surface of the crystal w

Rever’s fist flew like a missile at Ulmer’s face.Ulmer shuffled his feet and dodged the attack.Rever threw another fist almost immediately.Ulmer swiveled and appeared behind Rever. With a knife-hand, he struck the back of Rever’s neck, knocking him out cold.Rever collapsed flat on his face. The people who saw that had their eyes pop out of their sockets.“B-Barbell Knight lost in one hit?!”“Are you freaking kidding me?!”“W-Who the hell is that young man?”“I’ve never seen or heard of him before.”As the people’s attention completely shifted toward Ulmer, he was chewing on the skyfish soup. “This thing doesn’t have small bones, which makes it easy to chew. And it’s pretty good. I’m sure it’ll go well with rice. You can decipher the recipe from the taste, right?”[Of course.] Dove said.“Once we go back, I’ll make this skyfish soup and have dinner with Ayana and others,” Ulmer thought. “But for that, I need to catch some skyfish first. And then store them in the inventory.”Procur

Rever hadn’t said a word to Ulmer along the way, not because he didn’t want to but because Mirianne was right with them, and he didn’t want to talk about his defeat and embarrass himself even more.An old couple appeared out of nowhere and stopped in front of their cart. The driver had to stop the cart.“Why did you stop?” Rever stepped out of the vehicle, and the old couple were quickly down on their knees and begged.“Please give us some money. We are dying from hunger, O Great Knight!” they pleaded with tears in their eyes.Rever took out a couple of gold coins and tossed them to the side. They thanked him and gave the way.“Don’t stand in my path again,” Rever warned. “Or, I’ll break your legs.”And then he returned to the cart.“Don’t waste your money, Rever,” Mirianne told them. “Those two people were probably lying to get your hard-earned money.”“I don’t know if they were lying or not, and I don’t have enough time to check, so I gave them some money,” Rever said. “Two gold isn

Edward met Ulmer and invited him straight to the dinner table.A magnificent dinner menu was prepared in less than an hour. More than a hundred items were served.“Did you prepare all these for me?” Ulmer asked.“This isn't much, Mr. Ulmer,” Edward smiled. He was a handsome blonde and looked young despite his age being in fifties. “When I heard that Rever was beaten, I didn’t believe it, but then I was told that you also rejected Dracarius’ request to join him. I know that Dracarius isn’t the type to just let go of anyone he could oppress. Since he has not done anything to you yet, even after you’ve given him a cold shoulder, I believe that you are strong. Probably in level eighties, I presume?”“I will not disclose my level,” Ulmer said. “I prefer to keep it a secret.”“That’s fine. We can already guess your level, but would you mind if we made you start with my personal knight Zebron? He’s at level 90.”Normally, Ulmer would have refused, but he was yet to fight someone at such a hi

“Minerva Brianne Craig…” Mirianne was talking with Ulmer while they sat on the balcony. “That’s her full name, but these days everyone knows her as Brianna.”“Were you both friends in the past?” Ulmer asked.“Not really. We just played together for a few days in the royal castle,” Mirianne said. “That’s all. I haven’t met her personally after that. She wasn’t even in the picture of the race to the throne, so it’s very surprising that someone like Dracarius wants to support her now. Just what did he see in her for him to change his mind and be her aide? It is very baffling.”“We can’t read people’s hearts, so we can only judge them by their actions,” Ulmer said.“That’s right.” She smiled. “By the way, don’t think wrongly of me for asking this, but… do you still have those energy crystals?”Ulmer nodded a little.“Can you sell them to us?” she said. “We’ll pay a fair price, of course.”Ulmer appreciated that she was straightforward instead of doing unnecessary things. “I’ve eaten your

His gaze felt intimidating. “I-Isn’t there too much age gap between you two?”“What bullshit are you saying, Ivy?” Mollie snorted. “My grandson is not even thirty, and you say there’s an age gap? Can’t you see that they both look nice next to one another? Also, it’s actually nice if there's a five to six year gap between the husband and wife.”Mollie gently held Ayana’s cheeks and lifted up her head.“Where did you hide such a pretty girl all this time from us, Ulmer?” Mollie said. “You will get punished for this later.”“Ulmer always talks greatly about you, Grandmother,” Ayana said. “So, please forgive him this once.”“Hahaha,” Mollie laughed heartily. “Your wife is already defending you so much, Ulmer. All the entrances were sealed off by mud.“What the hell just happened here in the time I was gone? Was he responsible for this?”Just then, he looked up into the sky.Miles high in the sky, Abbie was flying away with her mother’s body in her arms, her expression dark and desolate under moonlight.“Isn’t that…”Suddenly, immense pressure was put on his body.“Gravity Cage…” Ulmer appeared next to him.Dark Monarch’s body was crushed from every angle by pressure he had never experienced before. He screamed at the top of his lungs.“You should have never returned,” Ulmer did not spare even an inkling of mercy on him. “Gravity

“She’s going to live,” the royal healer, Irvi, an old lady with poisonous pimples all over her face, said. She was 120 years old but was still able to stand straight. However, her voice was not steady. She was observing Minerva’s pulse.Minerva was lying on the bed in the medical chambers not far from the royal palace.“However, her system has integrated with her body, so we can’t take it out,” Irvi said. “If we do it right now, she will die.”“Is it not possible to separate the system without killing her?” Ulmer asked.“It is, but that’s only possible when she overcomes the system?” Irvi responded. “The chances of that ever happening are slim.”Ulmer frowned but then said, “Do what you can to heal her.”“I will. That’s my job, after all,” Irvi said. “No matter how wicked a person may be, if they come to my doorstep, I will not turn my back toward them.”Ulmer slightly bowed his head to her and walked out onto the balcony of that building, where Minerva’s dad, Neodus was present.“I t
