Jason was woken up the next morning by the thoughts that lingered in his mind. It was very early, and only the birds were awake by that time, but he was already up, and thinking about all the situations surrounding him. For about an hour, he didn’t know which one of them he was to be focused on, and he quickly went into the bathroom to wash his face after brushing his teeth. He got out as soon as he was done and sat in the chair next to the desk by the corner of the bedroom after he had picked up his phone from the cabinet. “What do I do now?” He said as though he was asking some other person in the room, but his mind remained empty for a while. He continued thinking for a while, and when he eventually had an idea that he really wasn't sure of, he picked up his phone and called the Doctor. “I hope this works, I hope it does.” He whispered to himself while he waited for the Doctor to take his call. “Hello, Mr. Caryso! James wondered why Jason decided that they wait outside the building, but he couldn’t ask any questions. First, the surroundings were strange, there was nobody around, and there was just one building at the end of the lonely road. A few seconds after they got to the location, Jason stared at the building, and memories of the past flooded into his mind. The building used to be his foster home until it was partly destroyed by flood, and no one cared to fix it. The children were forced to sleep on one side of the building, while they prayed for a miracle. Jason could remember all the ill-treatment he got from the people in the foster home and even some of the children who bullied him. He suffered greatly until he was lucky enough to have been adopted by a young couple who couldn’t have children, even though his happiness didn’t last for so long. “Alright, Kelvin. I see that you look really confused. Why don’t you grab a seat?” Jason pointed to the chair beside him, and Kelvin pulled it to himself after a few seconds of observing the environment. “Here, take this.” Melvin handed the tablecloth over to Kelvin who took it at once and nodded in appreciation before he wiped his chair with it. When he was done, he dropped the tablecloth on the floor and sat down slowly. “I am sorry that you had to come to this kind of place, but this is the only secure place I could think about under such short notice,” Jason said as soon as Kelvin was seated, and then he took in a deep breath which he let out slowly before he continued. “Gentlemen. Welcome to this meeting, I know there are a lot of questions on your mind right now, but I will make sure that they are all answered, all of them.” Jason began to speak to the men seated with him, while they had their eyes on him, still wondering what his plans were. As soon as he heard those words from Isabella from the other side of the line, Melbon tried to speak, but he lacked the right words to say, and he looked at Jason, suddenly feeling very uneasy. “Your family. At once, the attention of everyone in the room went to the phone, as it continued to ring. As soon as Melvin confirmed that it was Isabella who was calling, he lifted his face to look at Jason with a little tension in his body.“It’s her. She is the one calling.” “Kelvin? Eventually, he let down the tears that were gathered up in his eyes, they were tears of joy. He couldn’t keep himself from chuckling severally in joy, and severally, he gasped and sighed in relief while the rest of the men watched him in satisfaction. “Congratulations, Doctor! Jason walked directly to the dining hall without turning, and just as he had hoped, breakfast was ready. He sat on the table, ready to get rid of the hunger that had been making his stomach rumble for a while. “What’s for breakfast?” He turned to look at the chef who was standing a short distance beside him with a smile on her face. “Scrambled eggs and oatmeal, Sir.” She said with a low tone but still held onto her smile as she stared at Jason with both of her hands clasped in front of her. “Is everything alright?” Jason asked calmly as soon as he realized that she had been staring at him for a while without any plans to withdraw her eyes from him. “No, Sir. There is no problem at all.” She bent her face to the ground, but that didn’t stop her from smiling. “Are you sure? You were staring for so long.
