Clad in a black suit, Jason got ready for his meeting with Dalton and Stiles. Brenda was done making the chicken soup and freshly squeezed orange juice for James, and she packed it nicely, ready to be taken to him.

“Do you really think I shouldn't take this to him myself, Jay? He literally saved my life!”

“I know, Brenda. But it’s not safe out there, I can’t risk you getting hurt. The last one was a mistake that I shouldn't have made, and I am not about to repeat it.” Jason said calmly to Brenda who was carrying the basket containing the items for James. She sighed heavily and nodded reluctantly.

“I am just glad that he is okay. I can't wait to see him back on his feet again.”

“You will get to see him, Brenda. I need you to stay here and have enough rest, okay? You do not need to stress yourself. I will make sure this gets to him on my way out.”

“Okay, if you say so. Tricia is here to be with me, I guess she came at the right time.” Brenda looked at Tricia who was standing cl

Have we met before?”“I doubt that, Mr. Brooks. I am sure we haven’t met before to the best of my knowledge. Maybe you may have seen someone who looks exactly like me. I get that a lot.” “Oh, I see. It’s nice to meet you, Mr. Jones.” “Please, call me Albert.” Jason shook hands with Silas who extended his hands as well, forcing a smile on his face. “It’s really been a tough time for Mr. Brooks, Albert. The evidence against him is everywhere, making it almost impossible get him out.” Philip explained, grabbing one of the empty glasses on the table in front of him. “That’'s sad. The room was filled with so much anticipation and the eagerness written all over the faces of the people in the room could be felt in the air.“Of course, Dalton! You have absolutely nothing to worry about. Five shipments should be able to fit into one of my cargo ships, and as soon as they arrive at the port, I shall make sure they are conveyed to your preferred location.” “Just the words I wanted to hear! Excellent! Lovely!” Dalton laughed excitedly, puffing out smoke from his mouth. Glad that the call came in when it did, Jason pulled away from Adele, and grabbed his phone from his right pocket, lifting his other hand in front of her. “Excuse me, I have to take this.” He looked at the screen while Adele tried to move closer to him. “This is really important, I have to take it.” He turned and walked to a corner while Adele grunted loudly, clenching both fists in annoyance. “Why now? Young Master, we found something. I think you need to see this.” Harry said from the other end of the line, and at that moment, nothing else mattered to Jason. “I am on my way.” Jason ended the call at once and started walking back to Adele who

Kelvin was silent from his own end, but the clicking sound of the keys on the keyboard of his laptop could be heard while Jason waited patiently for him to speak. “Yes! Is there anywhere we can find him?” Jason asked at once, holding onto the phone while he listened attentively. “There is no known address, Young Master, I have checked severally. He went under the radar as soon as he was released.”“How about the phone? I thought you were tracking it.”“Yes, but I lost the signal about two hours ago. I think he destroyed it to hide his location.”“Oh.” Jason sighed with a little disappointment while he thought about the next move to make. “There must be something, Kelvin. I need you to think of something, anyway, so we can be able to get him. This is really important, and I hope you understand.”

Harry observed all of these, and nodded with a smirk on his face while Hilda kept on looking at him with the nervousness that engulfed her. “Hilda? You said you were alone.” “Yes! That means someone else is in here.” “There is no one else here! I told you! There is no one else here! My best friend Mandy came over! We had something to eat and drank some wine.” “So you smoke?” Harry asked at once, pointing at the ashtray on the table, and after a few seconds, he returned his gaze to Hilda, still maintaining the smirk on his face. “You smoked this?” “Yes! Yes, I did!” “No, you didn’t! You are easy to talk to.” Jason gestured to a guard who lighted the cigarette again, making sure that it was burning just like before. “Now, let’s start all over again. Shall we?” Jason lifted the cigarette, making sure

He only complained of a little pain and the Doctor gave him something that knocked him out.” Ace responded and took a glance at James who groaned while he was still fast asleep. Jason looked at him as well, and when he saw that he had taken the food and juice he asked for, he nodded in satisfaction. “That’s alright, Ace. I will be on my way now. Please make sure he is okay, and if there is any emergency, call Harry, he will know wh

Harry and two other guards were inside. “She is not the one,” Jason grunted at once, and then he sighed heavily. He checked his phone again, but Brenda had not returned his calls. Xavier gasped as soon as he heard the words that crashed his hope. He knew that Baron was brutal and dishonest, but he was also greedy. He had thought that he was going to let him go for the right amount, but it was obvious that there was more to it. “Why? Why the sudden change of mind, Baron? I am willing to give you any amount you desire, all you have to do is mention it.” Jason said calmly, trying as much as he could not to react. “I have changed my mind, Mr. Walker. I just realized that the boy is very valuable to me, and I can’t let him go just like that. You will have to tell his mother that you failed to bring him back. Trust me, this isn’t personal.” Baron lied with a smirk on his face, but Jason already knew that his words were false. “Your eyes say something else, Baron. This isn’t about the boy, is it?” Jason sighed, struggling to discard the frown on his face, but it was there to stay with no intention of leaving. “I don’t know what you are talking about, Mr. Walke

He looked around while marching slowly toward Baron with Harry and Ramon beside him. “I am sorry for coming to your place unannounced, Baron. But this is very important.” Jason explained calmly, but it took the man a while before he responded. “Well, you are here already. I wonder what brought you here, and I am eager to hear it. I only hope this has nothing to do with the Franchise.” Baron turned to face Harry and a frown instantly took over the smile on his face. “Lord Walker knows not to disturb me over such trivial matters. We had a deal, and I hope he will still keep to his own end of the bargain.” Baron continued with a smirk before returning his gaze to Jason who maintained his smile even though he was confused at that moment. “This way, please! Shirley was silent for a while, but the men standing close to her knew that she was thinking of the right answer to give to them, so they didn’t mind waiting until she was ready to speak. Eventually, she figured out what to tell them, and sighed heavily before she spoke with a loud whisper, trying as much as she could to be audible enough. “There was this man, he came looking for my son a few weeks ago. He said he stole something from him, and that he was meant to pay back for it. I told him that my son was not home, but he said he knew where to find him. He left and never came back.” Shirley sniffled, suppressing the extra tears that tried to roll down her face from her eyes. “When my son came back, I tried to warn him about the strange man, but he never listens. I pleaded with him to go far away, but he is as stubborn as his father. A week later, some men came to the house and took us. They blindfolded us and took us to this beautiful house where there were a lot of guards.”

The silence between them was laced with a little tension, but they were hopeful that something positive was going to come out of their adventure. Can I ask you something?” “Sure, Young Master! Anything at all.” Harry adjusted slowly, ready to hear what Jason was going to say to him. “Do you think the boy will be willing to come with us if he is real? Again, how do you think I am meant to handle a situation like this? I mean, the boy could be in a very bad mess, and I would have to pull him out of it.” Jason sighed, unable to discard the worrisome look on his face. But the middle-aged man had a smile on his face, and before giving him a response, he chuckled softly. “I know y

Adjusting himself to get a more comfortable posture, Jason cleared his throat and sighed before he spoke with a voice that almost sounded like a whisper. “He has a son.” He said calmly, but his words were too heavy for the other men in the room to remain as calm as he was. Lord Walker knew Jason to be a man who didn’t joke with such things but for a second, he remained calm, hoping that he was going to say he was joking.
