Culprit

Jason sighed with a smile on his face, and then he went to a couch positioned very close to the wall by his left and sat down, while the rest of the workers in the lobby looked at him, wondering what he was really up to.

He brought out his phone a few seconds later and started to operate on it, chuckling at whatever amused him on social media. He continued, for over thirty minutes, until Irene returned with a large tray containing a plate covered with a dish cover.

“Aha! That was really fast!” Jason said with a smile on his face, the moment he saw Irene approaching, he returned his phone to his pocket and adjusted himself, while still smiling at the young lady who felt so pleased at what he did.

Irene walked up to the middle of the lobby, to grab a stool, but she struggled to bend as a result of the long tray in her hand.
