Familiar Enemy

Jason was very anticipatory to hear something positive the moment his Grandfather cleared his throat just before he leaned forward to give him a response.

“I am sorry, Jack. I am sure that the name Creed rings a bell from the past, but I am still unable to figure it out.” Lord Walker sighed softly while he kept both hands on his leg and looked at Jason who nodded without being able to control the disappointed look on his face.

Jason took in a deep breath which he let out slowly before lifting his head to look at the old man who was sorry that he couldn’t give him the answer he desired.

“That’s okay, Grandpa. I am sure that you would have told me if you remembered something.” Jason sighed heavily, and then he forced a smile on his face while he battled with the conflict that nestled in his mind.

Lord Walker stared at him for a while, and when he couldn’t get rid of the curiosity that Jason had ushered into his body, he was forced to speak up.
