Meanwhile, as soon as Jason got out of his Grandfather’s room with Brenda right behind him, he shut the door while staring at him with a smile on his face, and then he sighed softly.

“I am sorry he had to make you take me to the kitchen.” Brenda apologized at once, not sure of what to deduce from the neutral expression the young man had on his face.

“Oh no, you don’t need to apologize. My Grandfather can be really insistent when he wants something and this is one of those instances. Having known him for a while, I have learned how not to give up when I want something.”

“Really? How so?” Brenda her arms with a curious expression on her face, staring at Jason who chuckled softly before giving her a response.

“Let’s just say that he never gave up on his search for me even when it seemed like it was taking forever, and there was literally no hope of finding me. Eventually, he did, and I have learned that with time, hard work pays off.”
