Different Tastes

As soon as the Chef was out of sight, Jason turned toward the cabinet and moved closer to it with a few steps, but Brenda was still staring at the door until Jason realized she was a bit absent-minded.

“Are you okay?” He asked with a low tone, looking at Brenda who snapped out of her thoughts at once and turned to look at him.

“Yeah, I am fine. Did you notice that?”

“You mean the Chef?” Jason retorted at once, and Brenda nodded in response.

“Yeah, she didn’t seem happy that you were trying to do her job…”

“That was very obvious. But I will return her kitchen to her once I am done here.” Brenda said with a low tone, and then she sighed with a smile on her face.

“Don’t worry, she will be fine. Just do what you are here for, I am sure that Grandpa will be done eating soon, and he will be waiting for you.”

“Right. I will just get that…” Brenda moved closer to the cabinet, dropped the black coffee on top of it, and grabbed the kettle with both hands.
