Chapter 12 - Award Ceremony

"You want to play right? Fine let's play!" Claudia said. She was done talking with this man. He is definitely playing around with her right now! How dare he barge into her car and demand a ride from her? How dare he taint her clean reputation with this stupid and senseless scandal? And how dare he make fun of her acting? Does she even know that she is currently the biggest actress in his company right now? She did not want to hear any more of the things that he might want to say. Claudia walked away from him. She was done here, she is going home!

Richardwatched as Claudia walked away. He had to admit that she had a really interesting woman. And she has quite beautiful too. He pursed his lips and rubbed his thumbs against him. He had to admit, it won't be too bad to play around with this woman, if she wasn't such a rude and arrogant person. She seems to think too much of herself. Richardshook his head. What is he thinking about? Women like Claudia definitely wasn't his type. He just wanted to get back at her for humiliating him when he got in her car, and it seemed like it worked.

When Claudia stepped out of the elevator, she saw Rose standing outside the elevator probably waiting for her. Claudia sighed in frustration. She totally should not have listened to Rose and agreed to come here. In fact, she should not have listened to any of the things that she had told her. Everything turned out like this because she listened to her! Because she listened to her and went on that blind date, she ended up meeting Ryder, and because she listened to her and came here, he made fun of her! How annoying!

When Rose saw Claudia walk out of the elevator, she sighed in relief. They were a lot of thoughts going through her head when she saw Richardleave with Claudia. She did not even want to think about the things that Claudia would have done to him. She knew her temper more than anyone else. But since she came back like this, it was fine right? Rose was quick to judge though. She took one look at her face and saw that Claudia was really angry. Her expression wasn't good at all. Claudia has always been a pro at annoying people with her words. Did she finally met someone who could annoy her?

"Claudia, what happened when you went with him? What did he say to you? Did the both of you already talk about what you are going to do about this scandal? The award ceremony is a few days away. We already received the invitation and nomination, we have to do something quick. And what did he mean by what he said in the office? Did you really start dating Richardwithout telling anyone? Are the both of you really a couple?" Rose asked. She had not forgotten what Richardsaid in the office of course. Claudia kept saying that she did not know him before they came here but she can't be too sure right?

Claudia glared at Rose? She was already annoyed enough because of that idoit Ryder, why does Rose annoy her even more the second she opens her mouth? She is in a relationship with that idoit? Does she look like she doesn't have anything better to do with her time? "What are you talking about?! I already told you that I don't know him and I don't have anything to do with him, why won't you stop talking about it? All of you are so damn annoying!" Claudia said. She really wanted to curse, but they were in public, she had to watch out for her reputation.

Rose sighed. Since she said that there is nothing going on between the both of them then there is nothing going on between the both of them right? But why would he say that the two of them are really dating? If Claudia is telling the truth then the both of them met for the first time when he entered her car, why did he make up such a story? What does he want to do? "Really? There really is nothing going on between the both of you right? But if there is nothing going on...why did Richardmake up such a story? What does he want to do?" Rose asked.

Claudia sighed again. Why did he make up such a story? If course because he wanted to mess around with her! But she isn't going to let him do that with her! She is going to make sure that she teaches him how to act! How dare he think that he can do whatever he wants with her? "He is just trying to mess around with me! Who the hell does he think he is? How dare he try to mess around with me? And he even made fun of my acting!" Claudia said. She was especially proud of her work. She was good and she knew it. Since she is so talented there is nothing wrong in flaunting it right?

Rose blinked her eyes when she heard Claudia talk. He just wanted to mess around with her? Why would he do something like that? Is it because of what might have happened when he got into her car? Rose knew Claudia well. She knew that the situation won't be as simple as him getting into her car and Claudia kicking him out. Judging from her personality, Claudia probably insulted and humiliated him first. Does he want to get revenge for that? She had heard rumours about this CEO. He isn't the nicest person out there.

"He is messing with you? Is it because of the incident with your car?" Rose asked. She really wanted to know what exactly Claudia said to him but she wasn't stupid after all. She knew better than to ask those questions. Claudia was already steaming angry. No need to upset her more.

"I think so. Anyway it's his fault for barging into my car! Why should I give him a ride? The CEO of Helian Entertainment doesn't have a car? I don't care, once the award ceremony is over, I'm going to make sure that I find a way to deal with him properly. I won't let him off at all! I swear if something happens to the award ceremony I won't let him off easily!" Claudia said. How did she even end up getting entangled with such a person?

Meanwhile, back in Ryder's office, Matt was looking at Ryder. He really wanted to figure out what was going on in Ryder's head. Why did he suddenly annouce that he is going on with Claudia? Matt wasn't stupid. When he and Scarlet left, he already figured out what was going on. He was probably doing this to get back at Claudia. Just a few hours ago, he was complaining so much about her. And now, he is going out with her? Judging from Claudia's reaction, he could already tell that Richardwas only messing with her. It was something that he would do anyway.

"Why did you do that to Claudia? Do you even know that she is the biggest actress of our company right now? Most of our resources are because of her! Even if you want to start messing with actresses right now can you please not pick someone like Claudia? Plus, she has an award ceremony coming up soon! If she wins it, its going to help our company a lot!" Matt said. He was especially upset about all of this. After all, he is the one who will have the clean up after Richardanyway. As a PR director, why does he have to do both his job and that of a CEO at the same time?

Richardscoffed. He wasn't even in the least bothered. All he wanted was to make that woman acknowledge that she was wrong and apologize to him! That is what he wanted to know. She is the most popular actress in the company? How can she not know him when she is so popular? How can she not know the CEO of her agency? "I don't care! I want to teach her a lesson so she knows not to mess with me ever again! Who does she think she is? How did she get so popular when she doesn't even know the CEO of her agency?" Richardasked.

Matt rolled his eyes. The same thing could be said for him! As someone who works in the entertainment industry, how can he not know Claudia Kingston? Does that even make sense? How long is Richardplanning to live like this? "Don't you think that the same thing can be said for you? As the CEO of Helian Entertainment, how can you not know who Claudia Kingston is? Does this even make sense? Just how long are you planning to be like this Ryder? It's already been so long and...." Matt stopped. Whatever he wanted to say, he knew that Richarddid not want to hear it.

Richardsighed. He knew what Matt wanted to say to him, and he knew why he stopped. Only that he did not want to think about it. It was just too painful for him to analyze it. He kept saying that he was already over it but more than anyone else, he knew what the truth was. Richardsuddenly thought of something. "Hey, you said that that woman has an award ceremony coming up right? What award is that? When is it going to take place?" Richardasked. He was already cooking up a plan, to teach that arrogant woman a lesson.

Matt who was still thinking about how Richardactually ended up becoming a person who did not care about anything else, did not notice that there was a sinister smile playing on his face right now. When Richardasked him about the award ceremony, he just thought that he was simply curious and he proceeded to tell him everything about it. "The award ceremony? It's for the best actress award this year. It's going to hold about three days for now. Claudia has been nominated for the award. Why do you ask?" Matt asked.

After he stopped talking, he actually took the time to look at Ryder's face. He realized then that he had made a very big mistake to tell this person about it. "Why did you ask me about the award ceremony? What do you want to do? You really are not going to go there right?" Matt asked.

Richardsmirked. "I am the CEO of Healian Entertainment. It won't be too hard for you to get me an invitation right? In fact, I'm sure that we already have dozens of them. I'm going to go to the award ceremony. Since I am a CEO I should probably start doing some work right?" Richardasked. There was a sinister smile on his face. They kept complaining that he did not do any work. He should do something right now right?

Matt sighed. He made a mistake. Between the both of them, they knew that something big was probably going to happen that day.
