Madame Beth stared at Allison's new car in awe, shaking her head in disbelief. "No. This has to be a joke, Allison. You're trying to make me think differently about Dylan, I know that. You were promoted to director of sales, right? Now, you’ve used enough money to buy yourself an expensive car."

In annoyance, Allison rolled her eyes and addressed her mother, "Seriously, Mom, what more do I have to say for you to believe me? And besides, I only just found out today that I was promoted to director of sales. Dylan bought this for me today, and it was surprising."

Confusion and frustration etched on her face, Madame Beth looked at Allison and frowned, "I refuse to believe this. That guy is trying to make a fool out of you, and out of every one of us. If he was the one who gave you this car, that means he probably stole it. Do you know the shame I will receive if that bastard becomes my son-in-law? Do you even care about me, Allison?! I don't think you do, and I've never been disappointed
