Seventy four

That same night, Hermione and Madeline stayed at the hospital and stared at their mother worriedly. She's been unconscious for a long while now and it made them very uneasy.

Then Madeline broke the eerie silence and asked, "What is happening? What's going on with mom?"

Hermione shook her head, and sighed before answering, "No idea. We were supposed to go out today but she suddenly took a rain check, saying she had somewhere else to be. Said it was important. I even suggested going with her but she said there was no need and she went all alone. Now that I think of it, she was anxious."

Madeline huffed. "She's been anxious for weeks now, Hermione. She's been weird. She's been out of it. As if she was seeing a ghost or something. There's something wrong somewhere cause this is unlike mom." She summed up.

Hermione looked away, knowing Madeline was right. What could have caused all this?
