The next morning at the Westons' villa, Piper was restless. She was so elated to hear that Lady Mary was considering her for the project, even though it was Miranda who brought the deal for them. However, something else was causing her restlessness.

“Lady Mary, do you think it's a good idea to invite Mr. Sawyer for the celebration? Don't you think he'd be unhappy that the project won't be handled by Mira?”

As they sat for breakfast, Piper expressed her worry and got the old lady laughing.

“You worry too much. I don't think he'd care about who is made to lead the project. All that matters is that we do an excellent job, which I know that you'd do."

Lady Mary took a sip from her coffee and continued. “Miranda is welcome to assist you. That's if she wants.”

“I don't want her assistant. She pisses me off. Moreover, I already have my team waiting to commence work." Piper retorted.
