Christopher felt even more puzzled when he heard Thomas say that with a serious expression. He raised his eyebrow and asked again.

"What do you mean?”

"Don't blame me for not telling you sooner. Thomas said as his lips curled into a frown. Just remember that no matter what happens later, just stay calm and accept whatever comes your way. If you do that, you might still be able to get this month's paycheck. If you don't, hmm..." After saying this, Thomas sneered a few times before turning around and leaving.
