Blood rushed to Zayn's face as he glared at Reeds.

"You bastard," he shouted like a madman. "Don't think you're going to get away with this. I'll kill you. I'll freaking kill you right now."

Zayn took a wild swing at Reeds, aiming to bust his jaws with a punch but he lost his footing and slipped and fell hard to the floor.

Zayn screamed in pain and anger, cursing at the top of his voice. Panic jumped in Karyl's eyes as she saw the vengeful state Zayn was in.

She turned to Reeds, her eyes blowing like twin explosions. "Get out, Reeds. Get out, now!"

Reeds watched as she helped Zayn up to his feet, while leading him to a chair.

"Why do you care so much for him more than me?" Reeds asked, clenching his hands. "You've never given me this treatment before."

"For christ sake, get the hell out, Reeds," Karyl shouted at him. "I don't ever want to see your face around me again. Take your things and leave my house."

Reeds clenched his jaws. "Fine, I'll leave. Just don't regret your decisions after the truth finally comes out."

"Get out!" Karyl barked at him, this time louder.

Reeds Walked out of the bar, slamming the door behind him. The moment Reeds left, Karyl ran her hands over her face in relief. Now that Reeds was out of the way, she could finally focus on Zayn.

She hurried back to Zayn who sat helplessly on the chair, swearing and cursing.

"Mr. Raymond, are you alright?" She asked, her voice filled with concern.

Zayn cursed under his breath as he struggled to his feet. "Screw that husband of yours... When I get...my hands on him... I'll... I'll..."

Karyl raised an eyebrow. "Umm... Mr. Raymond, are you alright?"

Zayn shook his head sharply. His eyes were getting heavy and his body heat was rising.

The aphrodisiac which Reeds had splashed on him was taking it's full effect on his body.

Zayn's face turned beet red as he slowly collapsed onto the nearby sofa, moaning softly.

Karyl took a few steps back, her eyebrows knitting into a frown.

She didn't need a prophet to tell her what was happening. It was exactly how Reeds said.

Her drink was drugged all these while.

"So, it's true," she whispered, biting her inner lip bitterly. "You really drugged my drink, Mr. Raymond."

Zayn couldn't respond. The drug was a powerful dose. He wasn't himself.

Karyl turned away from him and placed both hands on the bar counter, her mind racing with thoughts.

It finally dawned on her how foolish she was not to have believed her husband's words.

She instantly fell a flicker of regret through her, but dismissed it as soon as it came.

"It's not my fault," she said, more to herself than to Zayn. "I never knew Raymond's true intentions. Reeds escalated the situation beyond my control. There was nothing I could've done at that moment but stand up for Mr. Raymond."

Karyl stepped away from the bar and picked up her handbag. There's no way she can reveal any vulnerability or weakness to Reeds when she faces him. She was a strong woman, and strong women don't admit to their mistakes.

Karyl totally ignored Zayn who was still moaning on the sofa and left the bar.

She grimaced as Zayn called after her.

"Karyl, don't leave me," he groaned. "Take me with you."

Kary left the building and slammed the door behind her.

Reeds stood outside his home, hesitating to enter.

An hour ago, before he left home, he promised Seraphina that he would bring her mother home.

But now he had been kicked out of his home by his wife.

"I think it's best I take Seraphina back with me to the Higgins family. She could live like a princess and enjoy a better life," Reeds thought.

Just as he was about to step inside, his daughter ran out of the building, calling out to him excitedly.

"Daddy you're back. You wouldn't guess what happened while you were away."

Reeds embraced his daughter. "Talk to me, baby. What's been happening while I was away?"

"Mommy called," Seraphina said, "mommy said she'll be home later."

"Is that so?" Reeds said, biting his lower lips. If only Seraphina knew what had transpired between him and her mother.

"Here," Seraphina showed him a note she had written. "I made a wish list of what I wanted for my birthday."

Reeds took it and studied it. Seraphina had wished for her mother to celebrate her birthday with her.

Then it occured to Reeds that for the last couple of years, Karyl had been too busy to attend any of her daughter's birthdays.

Seraphina's second wish was for the three of them to go to an amusement park together as one big family.

The third wish was a secret which she would reveal later.

Reeds stared at his daughter for the longest time. He saw the brightness in her eyes and deep down, he knew he couldn't afford to disappoint her.

He decided there and then that he won't give up on Karyl, yet.

For the sake of his daughter's happiness, he will give his wife three more chances.

Just then, Karyl arrived home in her Honda Civic sports.

Seraphina leaped for joy as she saw her mother stepped out of the car.

"Mommy, you're back," Seraphina ran up to her and hugged her. "I missed you."

Karyl embraced her daughter tighter. "Forgive me for being late, darling. Happy birthday. Here, I bought you a present."

Karyl handed over a wrapped present to Seraphina.

Seraphina's eyes widened with joy as she hugged her mother again. "Thank you mother. Thank you so much. I love you."
