20. My wife works with that company

Thursday came faster than expected, and this was the day Oscar had been waiting for. Leo ordered the Neal diamond ring which was brought to Oscar that morning, and he was delighted to have it. It will serve as an element of surprise for Ellen.

Before going to the office, Oscar had reviewed the companies, and he knew how much influence he had over who and who would not become partners with the Slytherin Empire.

"Are you ready, sir?" Leo asked as he came to check up on him and to confirm whether or not he was ready to go.

"Oh, I am very ready to go," Oscar answered with a mischievous smirk. He picked up the ring box and took out the Neal diamond ring with a smile before placing it on his finger.

"Let's go," He said and left the house immediately with Leo. They used a different car this time, but the same number of escorts as always.

The drive took the same time, and when they got to the parking lot, he could not believe the number of cars parked outside. It felt as though the entire occupants of Axel City had visited the Slytherin Empire just for the sake of partnership and investments.

Not so far away from where he had packed, Ellen was seated in a classic white car discussing with Micheal when she caught a glimpse of who looked like Oscar.

She squinted her eyes, and this made Micheal look in the same direction and asked,

"Is everything alright?"

"Uhm, yes," she nodded,

"I almost thought that was Oscar, I didn't see his face, though, haha, but Oscar has no business coming to a place like this."

"Why would he be hired at the Slytherin Empire? What's going to be his job, a cleaner?" He asked, and Ellen chuckled and took her eye off the person whose face she couldn't see, mostly because he was crowded by numerous escorts.

"So I couple of information earlier today that got me worried," He uttered with a sigh.

"You know that the CEO went missing a few months back, and I was hoping that with the help of the managing director, it'll go smoothly. Unfortunately, the MD was not made the acting CEO like he wanted, someone else was."

"Oh shit," Ellen exclaimed,

"Is it that bad?" She asked.

"Well, I knew Aston Slytherin because I met him in person along with the MD, but not this new CEO, but I believe that the MD will help me through somehow if that doesn't work out, I'll have to endear myself to the new CEO, there's nothing a little friendship cannot fix in business."

"I hope so," Ellen sighed and took out the document that they ought to submit,

"Let's go. Our appointment with the representatives is in five minutes." She looked at her watch and got out of the car quickly, and Micheal followed.

Using the reflection from the car window, Micheal adjusted his next tie before they proceeded toward the building.

Meanwhile, when Oscar had gone inside earlier, he met with the receptionist and asked,

"Hand this over to the representatives from the company whose name has been stated on the letter, I have no wish to entertain them."

Taking the letter from Oscar, the receptionist saw the name on it and to whom it was directed.

"They ought to be at the meeting in the next five minutes, sir," she said.

"Perhaps you'd like to witness their interview fists before giving it to them?" Leo suggested, and Oscar thought about it for a moment.

Leo couldn't understand what Oscar held against the Hudson's. Ever since he saw that name on the lists, Leo noticed that he wanted to cancel them out without a second thought.

"I guess you were right then," Oscar replied and turned to the receptionist,

"Send them to my office as soon as they arrive, I'll give them the letter by myself." He added, and the receptionist returned the letter to him and nodded in agreement.

"I will send them immediately, sir," she said.

As soon as they left the receptionist and were headed for the elevator, Leo, who was unable to withhold his curiosity, asked him,

"Is there a reason why you want to do this to the Caribbean enterprise, sir?"

"I had a feeling you were going to ask," Oscar uttered as they stepped into the elevator. Once Leo pushed the button and the door was closed, Oscar continued,

"My wife works with that company, and she will be coming here today."

"Oh, that is good, new sir," Leo exclaimed,

"I never knew that you were married, sir, so you want her to work here instead?" He asked with excitement and a hint of curiosity written all over his face.

The elevator stopped on the sixth floor, and they all came out before Oscar responded,

"You got excited too quickly Leo, let me rephrase. My wife and her new boyfriend whom she left me for are coming to see me today."

"Oh," Leo covered his mouth with his hand to stop the gasp that threatened to escape his lips. He needed no further explanation to understand why Oscar wanted nothing to do with the Hudsons.

"They will be very shocked to see you here," he said, and Oscar chuckled,

"They wouldn't see me," He said, and Leo raised a brow, wondering what he meant by that.

Meanwhile, on the ground floor, Ellen and Micheal had just walked in, and they headed for the receptionist's desk.

"Excuse me, we have an appointment with the representatives today."

"Caribbean enterprise? Mr Micheal Hudson?" The receptionist asked, and Micheal nodded his head before showing her his card and the appointment letter.

"Uhm... you will no longer be meeting with the representatives," the clerk said, and for a moment, Micheal's heart skipped a beat. They couldn't have been cancelled, have they?

"Why?" He asked.

"That's because the CEO wants to interview you by himself," she replied, and both Micheal and Ellen heaved a sigh of relief.

"Well, that's a good thing," Ellen uttered.

"He's waiting for you. Take your right on the sixth floor. Is the last office on the right." She directed, and with excitement writing all over their faces, Ellen and Micheal hurried toward the elevator.
