Walking into the store, Loe could not believe the crowd he saw gathered at the front section of the store where a few watches were on display.
"Oh dear God," He uttered and rushed towards the scene, worried that something has happened to his boss, Loe was already freaking out so much. As he got to the scene, Leo noticed that Oscar was still standing and he looked fine, but the problem at hand was the fact that numerous people were accusing him of theft. "I'm sorry what's going on?" He asked one of the customers to confirm what was going on so he'd know how to intervene. "Oh, this man came into the store to buy something with money he stole from his boss... "What the hell?" Leo exclaimed, "And Oscar being such a nice man, wouldn't even try to defend himself properly, sigh, at least this has given him a clear image of what this place is like." Leo thought to himself before taking out his phone. "Excuse me!" He finally made his way through the crowd to the centre of attention, where the bodyguards surrounded Oscar like a protective wall, but as soon as Leo came in, they gave way for him to see Oscar. "Are you okay sir?" He asked and sighed, "These people won't let me go, they think I am a thief... "Which you are!" The salesman from earlier yelled, and Leo turned to face him, "Oh you, just shut the hell up!" He snapped giving the salesman a deadly stare, "If you have any ideas who you are accusing right now, you will be sorry," Leo added with a loud voice and the entire store went silent. He reacted this way on purpose to give Oscar a hint on how to handle this kind of situation in the future, being all-kind isn't the best at the moment. "You must be here to defend him huh? Just hold on, the cops will be here in no time... the salesman was yet to complete his statement when Leo silenced him with a slap across the face. "Leo!" Oscar yelled in shock, "I'm sorry that you have to witness this sir, but it had to be done," Leo replied, and while the salesperson struggled to fight back from being slapped, the store security held him back. "Hey!" One of them yelled, "You can't just walk in here and slap an employee." "Where is the manager? Will you bring him out here or should I call her by myself?" Leo asked, and the security man rolled his eyes. "Fine, I'll call her," Leo took out his phone, and in front of everyone, he called the store's manager. "Hello?" "This is Leo Angus, I'm very sure you remember who I am, and who I work for. You had better make your way to the ground floor and stop your employees from mocking me boss, or else they'd regret it." "Ha, this idiot thinks that a fake phone call can fool us huh?" "What is going on!" An elegant lady rushed into the scene hurriedly with a worried expression. "What is going on?" She asked. Her name is Stella Smith, and she knew who Leo was because Amy Slytherin never bought her jewellery elsewhere but here, and back then, Leo was her assistant. "Where is Mrs Slytherin?" She asked Leo, hoping that her employees hadn't made her upset, because that would mean big trouble. "She's not here," Leo replied and turned to introduce Oscar to her, "This is Mr Oscar Fred Slytherin," He said, her jaws dropped in astonishment, the fact that this man was a Slytherin could only mean one thing. You must be the CEO that I heard about," she said and tried to shake hands with him but the bodyguards stopped her from getting any closer. "The CEO?" The crowd murmured in astonishment, no one could have guessed that a Slytherin was in front of them. The salesman and even the security men were dumbfounded, and as for Oscar, he stood there speechless, he did not even know what to do next or how to react. "My boss came in here to buy something and was accused of stealing money from his boss. Please, I would love your employee to explain to me, why the CEO of Slytherin Empire would steal money for his boss when he is the boss himself?" The manager turned to the salesperson with an expression of surprise, and then back to Loe, "I'm sorry, did they do that?" She asked and Leo shrugged, "Ask them," He replied, "Ask everyone here." She turned back to the salesman who was already overwhelmed by the unexpected turn of events. Guilt was written all over his face, and suddenly, the talkative had lost his voice. "How dare you?" Stella asked him, the anger in her tone was enough to send a shiver down his spine. "I... I swear I did not know he was... I thought... I am very sorry... "That's how you treat customers now?" She cut him off "You randomly accused them of theft? Do you have any idea what you have done, do you know who the Slytherin's are? Do you want to put the store out of business?" She questioned him relentlessly, and without a second thought, she slapped him across the face on the same spot that Leo did. Then she turned to Leo to apologise. "Don't apologise to me, my boss is the one who is offended by your employee's behaviour." Unable to even raise her head to meet Oscar's gaze, Stella fell to her knees, "I am very sorry sir, this is not how my staff behave on a normal day, I beg you, please forgive him." "Seeing that Oscar was already wearing an empathetic look, Leo stepped in, "I assure you that my boss will never shop here again, and this will be the last time anyone in Axel City hears of this store after what you all have done!" He snapped, and then turned to face Oscar, "Please let us leave sir, I will place an order for the jewellery you want." Oscar stared at the young lady and the salesman who just stood there like a statue. He couldn't help but wonder how they would react to a poor man or even a normal-looking man. He could already see that these people had no regard for anyone, all they see is the money, they judge your worth by your appearance and treat you based on their assumptions, such people deserve no mercy. "Maybe next time, think before you react, you are lucky I'm not the one who slapped you," Oscar uttered, looking directly at the salesman. As for the manager who was begging for mercy, Oscar just ignored her and walked out of the store, he had already learned all he needed from Leo, maybe not everyone deserved forgiveness on the spot.Thursday came faster than expected, and this was the day Oscar had been waiting for. Leo ordered the Neal diamond ring which was brought to Oscar that morning, and he was delighted to have it. It will serve as an element of surprise for Ellen. Before going to the office, Oscar had reviewed the companies, and he knew how much influence he had over who and who would not become partners with the Slytherin Empire. "Are you ready, sir?" Leo asked as he came to check up on him and to confirm whether or not he was ready to go. "Oh, I am very ready to go," Oscar answered with a mischievous smirk. He picked up the ring box and took out the Neal diamond ring with a smile before placing it on his finger. "Let's go," He said and left the house immediately with Leo. They used a different car this time, but the same number of escorts as always. The drive took the same time, and when they got to the parking lot, he could not believe the number of cars parked outside. It felt as though the enti
"Are you seeing this?" Ellen said whilst staring at the name of the CEO on the office door. "Mr. Oscar Fred Slytherin," Micheal uttered and chuckled, "If only it were Oscar," He added, before knowing on the door. "Come in," a voice replied from the other side and they both walked in, unaware of who or what they were about to meet. "Good day," the man on the desk greeted them as they walked in and both Micheal and Ellen proceeded to shake hands with him, the relief on Ellen's face when she saw that it wasn't Oscar could not be overemphasised. "You must be Mr. Oscar Slytherin, it's such an honour to meet you, sir," Micheal said while he took his seat, but the man on the desk shook his head and said, "Unfortunately I'm not, my name is Leo Angus, the CEO is not here right now, and he had asked me to carry out this interview on his behalf," Leo replied and Micheal sighed in frustration. "Can we wait for him?" He asked, "I'd love to speak with the CEO by myself if you don't mind.
In a fit of rage, Micheal walked out of the elevator on the ground floor. Those who saw him avoided him because he looked just like he was about to start a war. As he got to the receptionist's desk, he dropped his documents on the table so loudly that it startled the receptionist herself. "Is there something I can help you with, sir?" She asked him, remaining as calm and composer as possible. "Yes, I want to see the managing director immediately," He said to her, his tone so harsh that he got people staring at them from all corners of the vicinity. "Micheal please bring your voice down, yelling won't solve our problems right now," Ellen said to him with a sigh, she was more than embarrassed by his current behaviour, even though she clearly understood the reason behind it. "I'm sorry, sir, but Mr. John Catar is very busy right now. He had a lot of appointments just like you. He has representatives for interviews. I suggest you come back tomorrow, I can book an appointment for yo
Oscar was seated in his office, more than ten minutes after Micheal had gone to see John Cater. He wasn't doing so much in the office until a knock was heard on the door and he asked whoever it was to come in.Mr. John Catar, the managing director walked into his office looking displeased, he held the documents from the Caribbean enterprise in his hand while he said,"Pardon me sir, but is there a reason why you refused to see the representatives from this company?" He asked, and Oscar nodded his head and replied, "Yes, I have my reasons, is there a problem?" He inquired, hoping that the MD hadn't come to talk him into changing his mind."Not that there is a problem sir... but uhm, Mr William Hudson, the CEO himself was a very good friend to your father, they've been in contract together for years now, and although they aren't the largest of companies they are one of our investments" John tried to explain, but Oscar wasn't listening. "Like I said, Mr John, I have my reasons, don't
Micheal couldn't wait to tell Ellen the good news, he knew that she would be relieved as much as he was, even if he had to wait a week, it didn't matter to him, as long as the contract was not terminated. Getting out of the elevator, Ellen couldn't wait to ask him how the meeting with John went. As soon as she saw him, she left her seat and walked up to him. "It was all a mistake," Micheal said, even before she asked, and Ellen heaved a sigh of relief. "I told you not to worry," she said, "I'm so glad it has been sorted out... "Not yet," Micheal interjected while walking toward one of the seats. "I'll have to come back in two days." While the couple chatted away, Oscar stepped out of the elevator, and the first thing he saw was the both of them. "Oh shit, I thought they'll be gone by now," He cursed, but unfortunately, he couldn't turn back now. His bodyguards were behind him, and he felt that it would be very awkward to just turn around and head back into the elevator. "Osc
"I was very disappointed sir when I saw her, I feel so bad that she had to leave you to be with someone else, now look at you, she would be left speechless when she learns that you are the CEO," Leo uttered after Oscar had narrated his ordeal with Ellen. "Let's not be too hasty," Oscar replied while looking out the window of the car, watching the street was a good source of entertainment for him. "I'm not even sure how long this will last," He added, as much as Oscar enjoyed what his life had become, he kept it in his mind that it could all end in the blink of an eye, if he wasn't the true Slytherin heir then it's over. "What do you mean by that sir? You are where you are supposed to be, of course it will last long, as long as Mrs Amy Slytherin is here, no one can stop you," Leo tried to encourage him, he was also aware of the reason why Amy was in such a haste to make Oscar CEO, and he supported her decision because Aiden can not be trusted. If not because the police had no evi
"What the hell do they want with me?" Oscar wondered while keeping his head low, the piece of glass pricked him, leaving his blood stains on each one he picked out of his skin. "Can this car go any faster!" The bodyguard yelled at the driver while trying to shoot down the men on the bike through the window. "Hold on!" The driver exclaimed before taking a sharp bend that caught everyone off guard. Both Leo and Oscar lost balance and leaned against the body of the car it turned. Before long, the next sound took them by surprise, and the sound of metal being dragged along the tar at high speed filled the air. The unpleasant sound that followed that loud bang could only mean one thing. "Shit, we've lost a tyre," the driver exclaimed. As the car stopped, it was only a miracle that the car did not flip from the impact of the explosion. "I guess we'll have to do this the hard way," the bodyguard quickly stepped out of the car with both guns in his hand. As the bike approached, he shot
Aiden switched off the television as he got fed up with the news about the traffic jams on the street that left over fifty cars destroyed, injured a few citizens, and killed two due to nimrod gunshots. It ought to have been good news, but the fact that the target was not even affected was infuriating, and just when he had kept quiet long enough, he yelled "You had just one job!" "Two people died, several got injured, and the victim himself was unharmed, so what did you even do?" The man who had been standing behind him the whole time wasn't moved by his rage. He just stood there like a statue but made sure to avoid his gaze. "We were not sure what he looked like sir, you gave us pictures, all we had was the plate number of his car, and we traced it, four of my bike men went after it and none of them returned." While he was still speaking, Aiden turned around to face him. He closed the distance between them and silenced the young man with a slap across the face. "Not sure wha
